Quick back-story: My sister and I live in the same house. She lives upstairs, and I live downstairs.

Since July, she has seen me making smoothies for breakfast. Quiet often she mentioned that they looked tasty. Today she is home because she has a wedding to attend. I guess it's quiet a chore for women to attend a wedding. She has to get her hair and nails done, then get shoes, then get dress. So for a quick nutritious breakfast, she decided she wanted a smoothie.

She called me at work to ask how to create the smoothie. While on the phone, I walked her through every step. As she turned on the blender, she abruptly ended the call by saying “since you gave me all the information I need, I have no further use for you” and hung-up.

About 30 seconds later, the phone rings again. You guessed it – it was my sister.  Seems by sister was unaware how the smoothie machine’s jar section was attached to the blender portion. She twisted the jar, and lifted. (you guess it) SMOOTHIE WENT EVERY WHERE !! Once again, our Jack Russell Terrier ran over and started to lap up the fallen smoothie.

I told Denise she is now an official LDL Smoothie Disaster member.  I said she could expect her membership packet to be mailed very soon. I also told her she will have to do some chores on the LDL ranch. Niki, and idea what she can do

Goes to show ya ... Smoothie Disasters run (no pun intended) in the family.

you know,now i don't blame your sister...why do they make these blenders like this these days?.....what was wrong with the way they USED to make them?....i NEVER had a problem cleaning my old blender..........i remember the first time we used the one my brother bought me...the bottom was not on really tightly and it was leaking a little....we turned it one way and it leaked more....it took us a few minutes to get it right...
  your sister should have waited until her brother could make her a smoothie...that would have been my route...........
  however,if your sister can get it right,she can have a second chance..........if she starts let's do lunch she can apply for ANY job on the ranch that she wants....niki

hannah can even make smoothies..we dont care for their consistency but we deal with it and smile all the while...

no purple hair...one with neon green,orange, daisy yellow, electric blue, raggedy ann red, hot pink, and another neon green (little copycat)

Oh, I DID see that bunch.................they broke the bank at the Nugget and were last scene erecting a solid gold statue of their mother in the town square.

I made them clean their rooms so thoroughly this week, even UNDER the beds!!!!

I've had my eye on the ones they use at Jamba Juice. They make about six smoothies that are all fruit and really thick and yummy. While we are on the subject I want to warn everyone out there to be cautious when you get a smoothie from a store. Ask about ingredients just like everything else we consume.

As to the blender, I bought one at COSTCO when I started and when I burn it out I am thinking of going to one with a little more umph!
