Where did everyone go?

When I first started LDL - I had read the article in First... I stayed on program for close to 4 months, but only lost weight the first two months. Once I stalled on the program I gave up for a couple of months -- (but only gained back 4 lbs of the weight I lost on it) Then my hubby had to do optifast before his "sleeve" weight loss surgery, so I thought I would support him and I went on medifast while he was doing his...trust me - that was not fun.... anyway --

I am back now -- I am hoping I can see results again with this lifestyle change and the fact that I can make true smoothies now I think will help...It was hard not to get sick of fruit before - to honestly eat enough to satisfy me when I was hungry. ... the smoothies make all the difference now.  It wasn't that I was craving sweets etc - -I just got to the point that I just did not want fruit no matter how good some of it was...I was never a big fruit lover to begin with. But I love my green smoothies, and someone suggested adding beans for the fullness and protein... great idea - I am trying that today.

When I was here last there were sooooooo many people on the boards - where did everyone go?  I really expected to come back and see (which I did) some of the same folks who were having success... but also a bunch of new people. I know -- everyone else hit their goal when I was away....(hope so)....

Well I have at least 100 lbs to lose -- first goal is 40 lbs... and I have a work related event in Vegas in June... so.... here I go... LDL'ing it again - but with a foundation of knowing what to expect and a vitamix!!

Everyone have a wonderful day!!!!!!!

Welcome back LMSP. My advice to you.....if you are going to do LDL, do it all the way. No cheats. Each little cheat takes you a step in the wrong direction. Besides LDL foods are so delicious, I don't know why anyone would want to cheat!!

Many blessings,
Ollie

Welcome back again LMSP.  No worries about the lull with the boards.  We all have our seasons of needing to be away and the times when we can be here more.....stick around a while and you'll see that.  MANY did loose all their weight and more (Crickadoodle, Joyful Friend, etc) who came on boards at that time.  Many are still around.  I am so glad you enjoy the smoothies and I look forward to watching that horse gallop along on your ticker.  Actually, I am thinking I will finally get my own ticker.  I have been inspired by so many and have some friends loosing weight on a super expensive protein powder/1 salad per day "blech" diet.  I'm thinking that I might purchase a new scale (after years without one) and go back to the smoothie/fruit for breakfast and dinner (if I'm hungry) and LDL meal for lunch just to show them it doesn't take protein powders and mega bucks to loose weight and be healthy.  Let's cheer each other on into a better looking and feeling summer shape!

Blessings,
Julie

Thank you for the responses.
Roger - I did read the changes -- problem is that I may have to rebuy the book - can't remember who I lent mine to the last time...

Welcome back, LMSP

I joined Nov 2009 after the 700 Club Interview.
My losses have been slow but I just have not been motivated to do any kind of regular exercise.
But I am OK with that. Now that I have lost 50 lbs, I am happy! The rest (55lbs more) can come off slowly, I am here to stay. Just want to add in case you have folks you are talking to about LDL who may not be able to buy a VitaMix, the Ninja Prep works GREAT. I saw an informecial and needed to replace a smootie maker I had and bougth this in 2009 for around 40.00. The newer model is around $50.00 at Sam's, and Walmart has the older model for $39.99. The VitaMix is on my wish list for later, but I love my Ninja prep and would had that anyone else drops out because they missed out on the smoothies etc. because they could not afford a blender or food processor. So keep talking up LDL. Boards will get livelier as newbies join in.

Country Girl did smoothies on her really old blender--It worked.  Vitamix can be bought in payments--no interest.  It is American made.  My vita mix was my  birthday, Mother's Day, wedding anniversary gift.  It is my favorite kitchen appliance, but I've used the Ninja  in my cooking classes, and it is a good affordable one.  Like Linda said, we want everyone to enjoy LDL.  :)  JF
