Here is another version that I make all the time. It is absolutely delicious, and IF there is any left, it is really good the next day too. Takes 2 minutes to assemble!
Ripe Bananas
Frozen Blueberries
Frozen Peaches
Cinnamon & Nutmeg
Mash bananas to baby food consistency, and line a pie plate (like a crust)
Top with single layer of frozen blueberries
Top that with a layer of frozen peaches
Add cinnamon & Nutmeg
Bake at 400 for 30 minutes

Just made it and loved it, I wonder if you can add dry oats to the mashed bananas?

That's the way I do mine. I told my DH if I had not known that it was not real cobbler, I would have thought differently. I use the microwave-4-5 minutes, but use the same method. Sometimes I only do two fruits. I eat the whole pieplate of it.

That would have been a great idea in our former life!! But that is a processed food, so I would say no Cindy.
I am so happy that you enjoyed it though

Cindy,
The steel cut oats are the only choice if you have to have oats.
Oats are a processed grain and your weight loss will be better if you leave them out.
For me, oats were just a nice platform for alot of sugar, so I have to stay out.
They just don't even sound good unless really sweet.
Just a side note, have the grandkids with us for a week and we were busy outside planting onions and they were getting hungry and I had not cooked anything ahead. So I dug in the freezer and found a package of Okra and some hot dogs. DH asked me if I salted those hot dogs. Finally I guess he is weaned from so much salt. The hot dogs were way too salty! Of course I had none of it! Determined to break this plateau before we make the trip to Tennessee.

Linda, they were great without the oats! My sons were impressed and ate the whole pan. Good for you with the salt, I have cooked with very little for years. My one son has high blood pressure, Im hoping all the beans will eventually bring it down and he can get off the meds! I would agree your taste buds change I can instantly taste high salted food.

Cameron, made it using the microwave tonight and it was great! I will try it in the oven when I have more time. Thanks!
mroszczak1, beans help as well as LDL foods and what really helped was using Himalayan salt. You can search for it here on the boards to see what others have said. It was here that I heard about it. I have not had one bout of high blood pressure since using it. My DH still takes high blood pressure medication but is not having the bouts he was having as well.
