I just noticed that Katie hasn't posted since the end of last year.  I hope she's sticking with LDL.  She was so close to her goal.  I mean, having lost 141 lbs. in about a year was so amazing and inspirational.  Anyone hear from her?

I see Katie on facebook. She has made some changes in her personal life including getting a job so I'm sure she's real busy.

Even though I keep up with her on fb, I miss her on here!!

I think I just saw Katie (jkgregory?) on another site.  Someone asked if anyone had lost 150 pounds and she posted.
Don't know the date of the post.

I think that was what I'd read and realized she hadn't been on in a while, so I looked it up.  You can see on someone's profile when the last time was they posted or when they last were on the LDL site.

I just miss some of the people who posted in the past and don't anymore.  Does anyone remember GEM?  She was so funny. I felt like I was really sitting with her on her porch spitting watermelon seeds.   Then I remember Jazmyn.  She had such pretty eyes and was doing so well on LdL. I haven't read anything from Julie in New Jersey lately either.  I always felt like we were doing this together -- kinda like she was my weight loss and exercise buddy.  The relationships on LdL really do help you reach your goals.  Encouragement and the exchange of ideas really help a lot.

You're right!!!  We miss our friends.  VickyLynn hasn't posted for a while.  My success came from my board friends, and from following the plan in the red book, Let's Do Lunch.  When my cravings disappeared and my clothes began to hang low, I was so amazed.  Again, thanks friends for your encouraging words and  to you, Roger, for giving us the plan.  Most of all, I'm thankful to my heavenly Father for providing for me with bountiful foods and for leading me to this WOE.  *love* and  *hug* to all, JF

Wanda,

I'm still here -- mostly lurking because I don't have much to add to the comments posted recently.  However, I do have an opinion about Roger's white potato experiment.  Why tamper with the tried-and-true LDL way of eating that enabled me to go from a size 12 to a 6-8 in less than a year eating from all the food groups until full/stuffed?  I have also maintained my weight loss for over a year and only eat a small, baked sweet or white potato once in a great while.  I believe if a newbie follows Roger's plan in his current edition of his red book he/she will be more than happy to see the weight come off, distributed evenly over their body, and have a healthier, happier lifestyle without eating one single potato until they lose the weight they want.

On a lighter vein... the sun is shining here today in NH, the snow is melting with the warmer weather we have been having for the last few days, and I'm making Little Mary's Beef Potato Pie for my LDL lunch. What more could one ask for on the Lord's day.  :inlove: and  *hug* to all my LDL friends.

Roger Troy Wilson wrote:Also, being able to eat meat & potatoes and still lose all the weight you want WILL impress the national media...they will no longer be able to ignore our wonderful way of eating, and we should get gigs on programs like The Today Show, etc., as well as Cover Features in magazines like PEOPLE, etc...thus making Let's Do Lunch a household name...thus millions of people being blessed by it!

Roger, what feedback, if any, have you received that adding potatoes to LDL makes it more likely to impress the national media?
