Dinner Theater

My DH and I had an enjoyable day at LaComedia Dinner Theater at Springboro, Ohio.  Twenty- five friends  and we saw "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers".  Before the show, we enjoyed a lovely buffet meal.  A friend said, "You probably won't enjoy the meal very much."  I said back , "Just watch me."  It was made for LDL, I think. First, the tossed salad with Mango dressing was served at out tables.  Then we helped ourselves to sweet potato casserole, corn, pinto beans, steamed broccoli, pot roast with veggies, Fish, chicken breasts, and baked pork tenderloin with apple slices, and of course all kinds of breads.  Another friend said, "You have twice the food, I have."  But,  most everyone stopped at the bread table and had a plate of bread varieties.  Chocolate cream pie was the dessert. I had no temptation for the bread or dessert.  I'm so grateful for the bountiful foods that God allows me to enjoy without weight gain.  After the show, we went to The Golden Lamb for a tour.  It is the oldest restaurant in  Ohio.  Many presidents and authors  stayed their since it was a huge hotel.  The 3 floors of bedrooms, antique furniture, art, and glassware were wonderful to gaze upon.  Most of my friends enjoyed an ice cream cone.  I had brought fruit for myself.  On the way home, we enjoyed McDonald's.  I enjoyed a good salad.  This morning, no weight gain.  I'm still not hungry, but since I'm going to the health center, I will have a smoothie, because I don't like getting hungry, because that was the whole reason,  I gained weight before LDL.  If I didn't plan, when I became hungry, I usually grabbed a quick fix.  The trees in my yard are giving my eyes an amazing treat--dogoods, weeping cherry, and then tulips. What Resurrection power!!! Thanks to my Creative Creator for all of this.  :) *hug*JF

  Im the same way if I don't plan and allow myself to get hungry I will eat something I shouldn't. I have been careful now to plan so I always have something ready! When I do that no sweet cravings! What a blessing!!

JF - what a nice post.  I too am enjoying a vase of lilacs on my kitchen table from my lilac bush my DH planted for me years ago.  Love the smell.  Love this time of year, when God shows off all of the new blooms of spring.  So glad you had fun at your event (wasn't that a cute movie too - seen it again not too long ago with my daughter.  Sounds like you had a bountiful feast of LDL foods at the event.  I have never been able to stick to any diet as long as I have been doing LDL, as I have stayed on LDL (almost 3 months) (except for the year and a half that I gave up sugar and lost 30 lbs. only to gain it back when I started eating sugar again ).  So nice to have a food plan where you can eat such good food and still lose weight (or in your case, to not regain the weight).  Jerrie :)

mroszczak1 -- You look like you're doing great with a 25 lb. loss!  Way to go!  The weight will continue to fall off, never to return, if you stay with the plan.

TY, I have had my slips but I get right back on and start to loose. If I eat something not LDL I really don't enjoy it and sometimes the slip up is habit. In general I'm doing pretty well considering I'm going thru the big M And my hormones are wacko./..lol

Habits are hard to break.  I've had slips as well.  Keep on keeping on and good things happen.  Our age really does play a part in weigh loss.  I can remember those days.   JF
