Getting started...

I just read "Let's Do Lunch" last night. I could not put it down! I explained the plan to my husband and he has agreed to try this with me. We work at the same company that has an in-house cafateria so we both ate mixed fresh fruit for breakfast. Can anyone provide at least a two-day menu until I can purchase the new book with the 14-day plan? The cafateria serves chicken breast and other meats so it is my understanding that we can eat that with vegetables and a salad. Your suggestions will be appreciated.

Mary,

I have great news!!! My husband and I went to the grocery store last evening and picked up fresh fruit, vegetables, and lean meat. We grilled a nice lean steak to bring to work today for lunch. So with your advice, we had fruit for breakfast, baked chicken for lunch (with a few mixed veggies), and fruit & popcorn for dinner. We did learn at lunch yesterday that the one small piece of baked chicken didn't hold us over so we won't let that happen again. In the mornings, I am waking up easier and not very hungry. As we were passing all of our FAVORITE items in the grocery store, I realized I only thought we were eating semi-healthy! Thank you...
