My Book is HERE!!!!

EVERYBODY!! I GOT MY BOOK!!!!!! I really was praying it would be here yesterday, and it was !!! I went for a one mile walk and had to go by the mailbox and would NOT let my self open it to see if it was there until my return trip home. I leaned over and peeked in the box and there it was.!!!!!! I about ran back to the house !! I read half of the book and then my husband and I went to some friends house for a "fried catfish " dinner. I took my apple,raisin,celery salad. I helped clean up the dishes and that is the only time I was tempted to eat a piece of fish. I reached for it and then stopped myself. When I got home I popped some popcorn on top of the stove and ate until I was full. Me and my little dog. She loves popcorn. Her name is Delta,( get it? lol )
I did not have to take my insulin shot at bedtime, and this morning when I woke up and checked it is was only 85. In all of these 20 to 25 years I HAVE NEVER HAD MY BLOOD SUGAR UNDER CONTROL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been since the very first day that I started eating like this. Not one night in 12 days have I had to take my insulin at night!!!!!
My doctor attends my church so I see him all of the time. Everybody is different so besure you are also seeing a doctor. My way might be different for you and always remember to check your blood sugar readings several times a day like I am.
It is NOT always easy. I know in time it will be easier and I know someday IF I WANT IT I can eat a piece of fried catfish. I believe Roger though when he says I won't want it!! The weight loss and the signs of good heath will be more inportant than the peice of fried fish!!!! The biggest thing that helps keep me on track right now is the blood sugar readings. If I never lost another pound ( I have lost 5 lbs) I would stay on this way of eating. I do believe I will lose the weight. Time,,,,,,,,,,it just takes time. If you are a person like me then you know it should have been yesterday. LOL
