I looked at your book in a bookstore last week.  I did not buy it because I must have 10 different diet books on my bookshelf already.  I have tried counting points - drinking liquied meals- you name it.  I was thin all of my life until my early forties.  I gained 40 pounds and can't seem to get it off.  I do know my thyroid is a bit sluggish, but not enough to take medication.  I walk and try to eat healthy.  I love fruits and vegetables, but my only real weakness seems to be bread and crackers. I don't drink soda or diet drinks.  I was addicted to diet drinks, but found that I was having a reaction to one of the artificial sweeteners so now I don't even want those.  I guess I just would like your opinion and the basics of your program in a nutshell. I will be glad to buy your book, if it will help. I just see all of the other books on my shelf and wish I had my money back.  I love God and have been praying for guidance in this area of my life.  I am not obese but I would love to be healthier and feel better.  Thanks for any input you can give me.

hello, dear sister in the Lord.....what you wrote,i could have written...i always had a problem with food but i maintained my weight...at 40,i started having a problem with my thyroid, gained 30 pounds and started on medication...once on medication,i was able to diet and lose that weight..then,ten years later, i became symptomatic again and had to find someone to change my medication...but,in that time i gained that 30 pounds again...NOONE loves bread and complex carbs and candy more than i do....but,this tuesday it will be the beginning of week 7 for me...it has been years since i have been able to give up the things that are bad for me for this long....i feel better..and i'm losing weight(slowly)..i've been on most diets..this is probably the first time in my life that i don't FEEL like i'm on a diet....here's what it is...you can eat ALL the fruit you want for breakfast(including cherries,grapes,watermelon,pineapple)...you eat your protein at lunch with all the vegetables you want..as much lean protein as you can eat...you can eat beans, corn and peas...you can eat popcorn....i make homemade bean soups..you can munch on soynuts...it seems too easy, but it's the best way for the human body to eat....i have given up all the things that are bad for me...NOW,i can ask the Lord to heal me...i'm doing my part.....you'll absolutely want to get the book...it's an amazing testimony of what God did in the life of roger troy wilson..and it really lays everything out for you..this is the only book he has ever written and he has a discussion board so that you can communicate with him and ask him questions....in this day and age, that is unheard of...one reason I'M glad i bought the book(i usually like to get my books from the library..i read a lot)is that the best way to pass the diet on to someone is to just lend them the book to read it...i gave the book to my daughter and SHE went on the diet...and now, this is the ONLY way she will diet when she wants to lose weight.......if i had told her about it,she wouldn't have understood as well...she might not have ever tried it....AND,one more thing, keep an eye on your thyroid function...if your TSH level goes higher than 2.0,you may need medication(i'm an RN..for 33 years)...although,if you have the energy to walk for exercise, you're doing well....add the ldl way of eating and see what happens...........God bless you......niki
