Dairy and Potatoes

I have read the book all the way through but realize now that I need to read the book again.  Last night I was just flipping through the book and noticed some of the recipes called for cottage cheese, yogurt and even some recipes had potatoes or rice.

I'm confused as I thought the LDL program excluded dairy products, rice and potatoes.

Thanks for any insight on this.

You know, I just avoid potatoes and rice.  I don't really even miss them right now.  Of course, my wife does make the best mashed potatoes in the entire world and I will likely partake on Thanksgiving. We aren't big rice eaters really.

While I do enjoy coffee, I hate just skim milk in it.  I use milk sparingly anyway but just skim milk gives coffee a funky grey looking appearance.  I had just a touch of half/half to correct it and make it a bit richer.  It doesn't take but a touch to do the trick, too.
