Weigh-in Success

I did it!  I finally weighed myself.  This is day 17 and we leave for vacation tomorrow.  I though I had lost weight, but was scared to see the number, but I was right!  I have lost 10.5 pounds.  I am thrilled beyond words.  Weight loss while eating like a queen!!!!!
This WOE is a dream come true.  I no longer have cravings for sweets, diet Coke, or chocolate.  I love fruits and vegetables so this feels like a personalized plan for me.  I had been cooking less and less since my husband retired.  With my conflicted attitude toward food I just lost my desire to prepare food.  My poor husband took over shopping and most of the cooking out of self-defense .  Poor thing, he is overjoyed that I have reclaimed the kitchen.  Actually, I'm finding food prep interesting and easy on LDL.  There is only one meal a day to plan for; the bean and meat soups are delicious, nourishing, and can be prepared and frozen in bulk.  I even posted the other day about feeding all the ladies in my club an LDL luncheon, and they raved about the Pizza Soup and all took home copies of the recipe!
I know that this will be my WOE for the rest of my life.  I'm not discarding weight for any special event, or for any planned date.  However long my body wants to take is just fine.  I know that one day I will awaken and be at my perfect weight however distant that day may be.  There isn't any reason not to eat this way forever.  Vacation (starting tomorrow) will be a challenge, but I have confidence that I will continue this WOE.  We are in a condo, will do most of our own cooking, and all 4 of us will eat LDL.  The guys, however, will fill in with snacks.  I'm guessing that my friend, Kathie, will be a convert.  She's working on her final (stubborn) 15.
I started with 101 unneeded pounds packed onto my body.  I have MS and mobility issues so there is no way I should have allowed myself to become this obese.  I know that with the weight gone, I will be able to move better.  At the very least if I fall, someone can help me up without hurting themselves !  Sometimes I am afraid that people think I walk with a cane because I am obese.  At my normal weight at least people will know that I don't use a cane or walker and that I use the handicapped parking site because of my disability which will no longer be my weight.
Thank you, Roger Troy for sharing this Plan for the benefit of all of us.  You are such a great person.  It is hard to believe that you put all this time and energy into The Best Diet of All Time and do not exploit it for personal gain.  You are unique among Diet Gurus.  May God bless you and all of us in the wonderful journey to health.
