It's not always about the scale.....................

I just wanted to post this to remind everyone that the scale is not necessarily the best indicator of weight loss. Since starting LDL on Feb 9th, I had lost 30 lbs in four months, but when I went to the doctor yesterday, I had not lost any more. I was feeling a little disappointed, because I felt like I was losing, because my clothes are looser. So, I decided to measure myself. Here are my results:
Chest - 1 inch
Waist - 6 inches!
Lower Abdomen - 4 inches
Hips - 6.25 inches *woot*
Left bicep - 1.75 inches
Right bicep - 1.75 inches
Left thigh - 3.50 inches
Right thigh - 3.50 inches
Total inch loss - 27.75 :D
So, I encourage you to be sure to take your beginning measurements, because the proof of LDL success is not always on the scale! But, even if you are at a standstill on the scale, and in your measurements, check other things before giving up. Do you have more energy, are you able to tie your shoes more easily, do you fit into chairs that you previously had to perch on the edge of, is it easier to get in and out of your car, are you not in quite as much physical pain as you previously were? All of these things a victories!
Hugs
