My faith in LDL

As you know I have been prepareing for the county fair.  It is here and it is a very hard week on all of us.  It is long working days.  As a superintendant of the craft section, recycling and where ever else I am needed, the whole club has to work at sometime in the kitchen It is one of our big fund raisers.

I have been promoting LDL to everyone who I think needs it.  I have got my insurance agent almost on board, the chamber office manager, our sec. at Edward Jones.  I don't think they have registered yet but they have gone into the receipe section for food idea's.  They do tell me what they have been eating.  All this to say this.  The temptations yesturday were almost to much to handle.  We hosted the luncheon for the fair judges and If you could have seen the food, oh my.  Well I was good.  I have chicken without skin or coating, small piece of ham, okra with tomatoe and I brought watermelon with romaine lettace salad.  So lunch was okay.  I really over ate the protein but working as hard as I was I needed it.

Here is where the problem was I was the cook for 3 hours last night.  All the chips, cheese, we make taco salad, frito chili pie, beans and cornbread.  Lots of my favorites and over by the window was a 8 foot long table full of homemade cookies and brownies and fresh pies.  Oh how I wanted some.  My mind wanted it badly.  I knew everyone was watching  me all day to see if I would stumble.  I wouldn't give them the chance.  I knew with LDL and God I could resist.      I DID IT.  Let me tell you this is week 17 and it will be my hardest week.  I have today off from working but tomorrow I will have my fruit with me.

As for my entries in the Fair  I took the Grand Champion ribbon in photography.  It was a picture of my oldest grandson making shadows in the sand at Half Moon Bay, CA.  It was a new camera that Snoopy gave me 3 days earlier so I was just snapping pictures.  Who knew I would win GC.  I also won 16 first place blue ribbons, 3 second place red ribbons and 3 third place white ribbons.  Two of my items did not place.  Trouble with judgeing this year as a result of that it cost me a Reserve Champion ribbon  oh well.  Next year.

Just had to post that your faith in LDL does work.  Don't give in the temptation.

Donna,

Congratuations on your Grand Champion photo -- wish we could see it!  What entries did you win all those other ribbons for?  Have you won Reserve Champion before?  I am so proud of you that you were able to resist temptation.  It must have been really hard for you, but being the trouper you are and your committment to LDL made it possible.

I entered crocheted baby blankies(3), crocheted potholders(3) beaded angels, penguin, tablerunners, 3 pictures in photography, cassarole carrier, pillow, shawl  made out of bamboo yarn it is so soft it feels like melted butter in your hands, yummy, butterfly etc.  24 different things.  I tinker all the time.  It keeps me from eating when I stay busy.

Yeah, Donna!  :D  You did so well with not giving in to temptation.  You don't know who was watching and maybe decided that they'd try LDL, just by seeing how you handled yourself with all that tempting food around.  God is so good!

For all of those ladies working the fair, who were waiting for you to fail and eat the sweets.  You will find 4 time more supporters here waiting to see that skinny Happy Clown at the train station.  I'm so proud of you,  *hug* I know it is tough to see and smell the sweets.  Not to mention bake them to sell.  You will always have this WIN, you didn't slip.   Keep up the good work.  I look forward to shopping in March.

Snoopy and all the others
Thanks for the support.  Today is really going to be hard.  I am sitting here eating my cantalope wishing my feet, legs, and back would just quit hurting.  Snoopy I did try to delegate but you know how that goes.  I don't think I will be phycially able to work the fair next year.  The cement floor is more than I can handle.  Thank you God for helping me lose the pound I did as it would have be harder to work.  I know the 30 pounds did make it easier to get around.  Right now I hurt so bad that I am in tears.  I will not work the kitchen tonite someone else will just have to do it.  I will take the job of building police and raffle ticket seller.  Thanks again for all the support,  I don't know what I would do with all of you.

Donna,
When you said "I don't think I will be physically able to work the fair next year,"  you are going to be so light on your feet next year, if you really want to work the fair, it'll be easier than ever!  In the midst of the pain and all, I know it's hard to see that right now.  I hope you take care of yourself and only do what you can.  It'll get done, even if it isn't you doing it.
