A shrinking resistance...

Okay, I know that Roger says you don't have to exercise to lose weight with LDL, and I believe him wholeheartedly... BUT... I am a type 2 diabetic, and exercising is helping me keep my blood sugar under control OFF MEDS so I have been hitting the gym. HAVING said that...

Something really cool that is happening to me is.. when I first started on LDL and I went to the gym my own body was giving me such resistance, and no, I don't meant that I didn't wanna do it, I mean literally.. as in, when I got on the stationary bicycle and pedaled (it's the kind of bike where your feet are out in front of you a bit) my huge stomach (we diabetics have major belly issues) would sit on my legs and every pedal had resistance from my tummy! The natural reward of continuing to work out  is that my tummy is shrinking and giving me less resistance with each passing week!!!!! YES, I am turning up the resistance on the bike... but you know what? it actually hurt me before.. I don't like the jiggle tummy thing... now, it doesn't hurt my tummy to ride the bike and that is an incredible reward.

Just thought I'd share... how're ya'll doin?

Oh how great.  LDL ROCKS  I also notice that I can put on my pantyhose easier and when I bend over my flab is not in the way.  It is a wonderful feeling.  I have a long way to go but it is getting easier.
Keep up the good work and with Danny he is doing great also

Tiff, even though Roger says you don't have to exercise to lose weight on LDL, he definitely isn't against exercise.  LDL and exercise is a perfect combination as far as I'm concerned.  You will lose the weight faster with exercise, but if you can't work it into your life, you'll still lose weight without it!  Exercise has many other benefits than just losing the weight, as you are finding out.  Congratulations on becoming more disciplined in eating and in exercise.  Keep up the great work.  You are shrinking too, not just the resistance.  It's great you increased the resistance on the bicycle!  Keep challenging yourself.

YES! YES! YES!

Exercise is fabulous for your body! Our bodies were designed to move but all the modern conveniences make it necessary for us to actually PLAN our exercise. The combo of LDL and exercise is stellar! As long as your doctor is ok with it - turn up the heat! You are doing Awesome!  Especially the meds thing!

I also notice there is a lot less stuff in the way. I can also get my pantyhose on much easier (nods to Donna) and they don;t get runs as often bc I am not stretching the
S_ IT out of them

OK - time for me to go glide and rebound!

Shrinking tummy!!!  Yay Tiffany!  That is very cool.  It's gonna shrink more with the way you're going.
Belly and waist are my biggest problem areas but I did notice the "muffin top" I get with one pair of jeans, even though it's still there, it did look smaller this week.
Let's keep on keepin' on!

YAY TIFFANY!  Thanks for sharing your success.  Many many of us are noticing that with previous "diets" we noticed weight loss in the extremities FIRST, but the core area was the LAST to go.  It seems to be just the reverse with Let's Do Lunch.  I don't have a clue why that is - maybe all the fruit helps you eliminate better which naturally tends to reduce bloat.  I don't know, but I wanted to let you know you are not imagining this phenomenon!

Anyone who wants to and is able absolutely should get some form of movement.  Roger Troy just wanted us to know that exercise is not a requirement in Let's Do Lunch and that inability to exercise should not deter weight loss.  Everyone should just be sure to follow their doctor's advice.

Congratulations on your progress!  Please post your story in the Personal Success Stories pages.  Pretty soon you'll see those knees cycling up to your ears!   *woot*

Did somebody say "MUFFINS"? !
