Should have been more prepared!

Yesterday was our annual ten county Senior District meeting. I had a banana for quick start with coffee. Rode with friends, and enjoyed the beautiful hour and half drive in southern Ohio. The trees glistened and delighted our senses. So beautiful. There were large trays of delicious fresh fruit, and all kinds of fruit. Of course there were all kinds of pastries. No temptation there. Had some fruit. Then our meeting, and at 12:30 we had lunch. Last year, we had grilled chicken breast, so I thought they would probably have the same. This year they provided baked steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and Cole slaw. All kinds of luscious desserts. I took the meat, beans, and Cole slaw. Then I stopped at the morning tables and took several pieces of the fresh fruit-grapes were mostly left. I was quite hungry, so I ate the steak, (tried to get as much breading off as I could.) I ate the Cole slaw-too much heavy dressing, and green beans-cooked with ham specks. IF I HAD EATEN MY SMOOTHIE WITH 3 SPOONS OF WHITE BEANS, I COULD HAVE WRAPPED MY STEAK UP TO BRING HOME TO HUBBY. I DIDN'T. I was still hungry again last night. I think I was triggered by the breading and sugars in the Cole slaw dressing. It was the first time that I have been really hungry of an evening. I had bean soup and fruit. A friend was there who I had worked with when I did drug education, and she said, " Wanda, you are so little and look so nice." I said, "My, that's the first time that I have heard little in a long time" I jokingly said that it was my navy suit and heels. I've also missed exercise for three days. I am never leaving my home without having a filling breakfast when I know my lunch is to be provided, or at least try to. I should never say never. Today is a new day!!! I love LDL and how the right foods make me feel. Thanks again, Roger, for this WOE. Joyful Friend
