prayer request,

Post by snowbirdie »

Hi All,
Please pray for my son Paul ,Krissie's brother. He is 45 years old and weighs 325 pounds. He is diabetic and his foot is turning dark brown. He takes no medicine as his doctor for some reason doesn't perscribe it for him. He is scared. He is afraid he is going to loose his foot.He has a hard time getting around. He suffers no pain as he has no feeling in his foot up to his knee. I have sent him my book and he asks lots of questions so I hope this young man can finally find some help.

niki,
I don't know either. When he tells me what he eats I know it is not good. I told him he cant control his sugars with the diet he is eating. He says he is scared and I can understand that.

hi I sent Paul my book for Christmas. He said he saw it and put it away. He was not interested in any diet cause they don't work. But I know you all must be praying cause he said  I got that book out and was reading it. Maybe I will try some of those casserole recipes. They seem to be very filling!  It is a start, He says he weighs 350.  So keep up the good prayers. God has his hand on him.  Thanks  Judie

Judie,

Would it be possible for you to cut and paste some of the success stories from diabetics and email them to Paul?  He might not realize that his numbers could change dramatically by eating the LDL way, never mind the weight.  That will come eventually.  But if he sees how eating this way can affect his numbers, he might be more inclined to try it.

Hi folks,
Just got a report from son Paul. He went again to diabetic foot doctor and because of all your prayers  the doctor says he wont loose his foot . at least not now. Doctor gave him medication and specific exercises to do to help circulation to return. Then sent him to dietitian and he is going to take his little blue book with him. Apparently he is trying some of the recipes. He says he needs to be delivered of his love for potatoes and sausage. He says if he can find the stuff he will try it. He says this is a new start in his life.
Now a new baby girl has been born into our family. Her name is Raegan. The dear little one has a 3 millimeter hole in the lower chambers of her heart. Thats about all I know but daddy Graham is asking for prayer for his first little girl.  So folks please pray for little Raegan also    THANKS  jUDIE

Judie,  Congrats on new little girl in your family!  I will also add Paul and Raegan to my prayer list.  I'm so happy Paul won't need to have his foot removed.  I struggle with foot problems also but since I went to wearing the socks, and with lots of prayers, those problems have been much better.  I pray the same for Paul.  I hope you will also have good news to report on Raegan.

Dear Judie - Please let me add my congratulations and prayers to the others here.

Babies are born with great healing ability in their little bodies.  I believe in my spirit that Raegan will be fine.

Is there any way Paul can get over to Clearwater for a second opinion?  If I remember correctly, it's about 80 or 90 miles from Orlando.  My husband, Neil, sees Dr. Leonard at the Joslin Diabetes Center here.  They have a fabulous reputation as one of the best centers in the field.  Dr. Leonard and his staff are the best and I believe he probably saved Neil's life, not to mention his feet -- as long as Neil followed their advice -- which wasn't always the case.  What is it with some men?

Neil and I would love to meet Paul and give him encouragement.

Gwennie
HI. Paul says he would very much like to talk to you. He seems to finally be getting his thoughts around his feet problem. It would be good for some friendly chatting. Would you like his phone number?

Judie - Absolutely!  I would be happy to call him and have him come for a visit, too.  I'm PMing you my cell phone number to give him, too.  I keep it with me 24/7.
