Let's Do Lunch Community

Hey Everyone,
Niki left me an email that her brother just called her and said their father is very ill.  He's been taken to the hospital and put on a respirator.  She asked that everyone please say some urgent prayers for her father and family at this time.

Yes, of course!  Niki's dad has been so sweet - including all of the LDL's prayer requests in with his - and even asking Niki how people are doing.  I hope that he recovers quickly.

OF COURSE I'll be praying...Niki's dad has prayed especially hard for my nephew in his time of need...now is the time for me to return the favor!

hi guys.......my father was intubated and placed on a respirator on thursday...it was removed yesterday...he is off all oxygen now...i walked him to the bathroom tonight and my brother shaved him..i expect him to be home within a week...

hi guys..i just got home from the hospital....he went into congestive heart failure and that affected his kidney function and made his lungs fill with fluid..i walked him up and down the hall tonight...he's MUCH better...they're doing an echocardiogram and they'll switch some of his meds around which will be great.....thanks so much for your prayers................love,niki

i want to thank everyone that prayed...my father came home friday..i just got home after spending the weekend to take care of him.........what i need now is a de-stress chamber....a room isolated from the world that will peel off the layers of stress to free me from it....anyone got one?.................my prayer closet?....i'm on my way......................

I am soo glad your dad is home and doing better. I was so shocked when we heard that our major Prayer Warrior was in need of prayers. He is such a special guy to pray all the time for so many who he doesn't even know! I hope he is doing soooo much better now. Keep us updated

That's fantastic news about your Dad, Niki.  You are a great daughter and I know your father depends on you for your strength and wisdom.  Good job!  Deep slow breaths.......in deeply & out gently.

  both my children prayed with my father when he was in the hospital to recommit their lives to the Lord...........COULDN'T happen at a better time considering what we see happening in the world.............maranatha..........love,niki

Hey Niki....that's great about your kids rededicating themselves to Our Lord....just wonderful.  Could it be that God set everything up (including, of course, your dad's health issue) in order to manipulate your kids into the position where there would so rededicate themselves?  Our Lord is so magnificent...there don't seem to be any coincidences in life...

I hope your dad is feeling stronger each day.
