I'm so sorry to hear that the Wilsons are going through such a difficult time. I will be praying for them.

It's been a long time since I've checked in and I'm glad that I did to add my prayers for The Wilson family.  Thanks Mary for sharing this.

Of course our prayers also will be going up. Do you think even just sending a personal e-mail or card to lift his spirits would be OK? or do you think we should just "leave him alone" for now? Please let me know. I want to do something special for our fearless leader.

We're praying for you and all of your family.  I worry about my husband too because i do everything for him, even start the peeling of his bananas.

And i love it about the Cubs!  I'll certainly send out that telepathic message.  When my mom's dad died, with this last breaths he took my hand and looked up at me and told me:  "Root for the Mets"
I have rooted for them in my heart all of these years (apparently, it doesn't help much!!)

God will lift you up Roger.

  aha....you're a met fan......me, too....so is my father....

I, too, have been a life long Cub fan. They tied up the game in the 9th inning after two outs last night and went on to win in extra innings. Their magic number is 2!!  God determines the length of our days and judging from what His word says, these two loved ones have lived to "a good old age". May their passing be swift and sweet and may the knowledge that they will be present with Lord make it easier on all those left behind.  God bless you and yours, Roger Troy.

Not only are our prayers helping Anita's dad, but maybe the Cubs themselves are trying to help.

Not sure how many of you are sports nuts, but The Cubs clinched their second straight Central title Saturday. It's their first back-to-back postseason appearances since playing in three straight World Series in 1906-08. And 1908 was the last time the Cubs won the World Series.

So maybe only are we helping Anita's dad, maybe the CUBS themselves are trying to help Anita's dad too.

I was waving my Cubs rally towel on Saturday.  And they adding frosting to the cake by winning on Sunday.  The Cubs are winning!!
