Needing prayers for my family

Hi all.
While I may encourage others to let us know what their needs are for prayers, I usually don't ask for prayers when I know that's what would get me through. However, with that said, I do need to request that you all could send up some prayers on my family's behalf. As you may know my husband (who doesn't follow LDL faithfully) is a diabetic with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He also works part time outside the home. Just about 1 year ago, he was injured on the job (carpal tunnel syndrome) and has had dramatic decrease in hours. Last month, the doc put him "temporarily total disabled" for the month of Aug til his appt last week. He should have rec'd work comp payments for that month however due to someone NOT looking at his medical chart before opening their mouth, when work comp called the doctor's office to verify, they were WRONGLY told he "should be working" and therefore caused work comp to NOT PAY HIM! While I make decent money, when your income is cut by $600/month (minimum) to $300/month to NOTHING for a month, things get very tight financially. To make matters worse, his doctor was going to keep him out of work for at least another month, but his Lawyer convinced him to talk to the doctor to release him again to "Light duty" (on the lawyer's behalf, he was trying to assist us in at least getting a paycheck for him again). The kick in the pants is that although he was released, they've had NO work for him last week or this next week. (Another 2 weeks with no work and therefore no income).
This was just to give you a background of what has happened.
Now his doctor (regular) says his diabetes is out of control, he'll see him next week and probably be put on some sort of "liquid" diet (which he'll also be non compliant with). We just need some prayers that: A) Work comp will reconsider the lost wages for last month and we won't need to wait for our lawsuit to be complete to recover that $$, B) Work will pick up for him, C) Finances will get better, D) Doc doesn't put him on liquid diet but will allow him to maybe buckle down and get with the LDL program.
I know ->

is at work trying to do what ever he can, but it's getting tough to think positive and not give in to him (*evil*) and say "Fine You Win!" I'm trying to stay focused on God and let Him work His way through this, but again it's getting tough enough I need some added strength from you all through prayer.
Sorry this was so long.

Thanks
Veronica

Veronica

I just prayed for you and your family and the situation you're facing. I know how tough it can be to keep your chin up and not give in to worry and despair. I pray that God strengthens and comforts you and fills you with His peace, even tonight.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to you as a group of believers on behalf of Veronica. We ask that all the concerns she mentioned in her post above would be taken into YOUR hands. Lord, give her Your peace, Your comfort, and Your assurance that her family is of utmost importance to You.
Lord you tell us that where two or more of us are gathered, that You will be in the midst of them. We are far more than two, and we invite you to come into this circle of prayer ... that Your will would be done ... that Your Holy Spirit would enter ... and that You will be glorified.
We ask that you would restore Veronica's family not only financially, but that You would restore the health of her husband as well! Father, please show your Almighty power on behalf of my dear friend! We ask for 100% turnaround in all these situations.
In Jesus name we ask these things of You,
Amen!
Love you Veronica!!!

........we're all praying you up and above all this....HOLD ON to the Lord, veronica..........and as far as rob's diabetes is concerned, i've been praying for him for that for a LONG time......his blood sugars are high because he has more stress and he's probably eating more of what he shouldn't since he's not working.................HE has to decide once and for all to get serious eating a way that will keep his diabetes in control.............in His power and strength(THAT'S where we are), niki

Veronica,
Adding my prayers that all these things will be resolved and that what the enemy has stolen will be returned 100 fold. Also asking that you and yours will receive the wisdom and knowledge you need to work your way through this time and that God will give you and hubby favor with all the authorities. And that the peace that passes understanding will be yours.

Thanks everyone. I feel so embarassed

at times asking for prayers when I know that there are others so much worse off than we are. But at this moment in time I am just so upset and stressed and trying sooo hard NOT to run to the refrigerator and stuff my face as I have in the past that I just knew I needed some extra help. You all are my extended family and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your willingness to lift my family and my concerns in your prayers.
Love ya all!
Veronica

Regardless of whether you feel your needs are big or small, Veronica, always post them. We are your extended family, and even if it may seem "not so important" to you, all of our prayer requests are important to the Lord .... YOURS included!

Veronica, adding my prayers for your family's health and finances. I have some experience with a husband who has ruined his health through poor diet and unhealthy habits. I thank God that there is nothing we can do to yourselves that HE cannot fix. Only HE is able. I am praying for the Lord to soften the hearts of your husband and WC, and move, lead and guide them toward a successful outcome in your situation. Believing this for you & yours. Don't forget to BREATHE out the stress & inhale the sweet perfume of the Holy Spirit. It's the best thing to alleviate stress.
Love, Gwen

Tori - AMEN, AMEN!!
Veronica,
Praying for you right NOW!!
Lord, keep Veronica and her huband in your loving arms...bless them, encourage them, and empower them to receive your Love and wisdom, to do what's best in this situation. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke Satan from this situation. We are in one accord, in our prayer, you know our hearts' desire is for healing and we pray IN THE NAME OF JESUS, that it also be Your Will. AMEN

Thanks again every one!! I may not have any answers yet, but I can feel the prayers. I'm feeling a bit more at peace and not quite as "down in the dumps" as I was the day I wrote this request. Why is it always sooo easy to pray for others but sooo blasted hard to ask for it for yourself/your family?!

Quick update....Doctor did want hubby to go on the liquid diet. Fortunately or not...it cost's a couple hundred dollars and we don't have that now. SO for the moment he is saved. The doc did say his sugar levels are improving and ordered some new prescriptions (which we still need to get as $$ was too low to go to pharmacy til tomorrow!)
SO maybe hubby will eat a little better on LDL.
MORE: Finally he is getting some work for this weekend. We still won't see any money til 3 weeks from now, but at least we'll finally be getting SOMETHING coming in. Please keep praying that we'll manage to get finances under control and get more income and that hubby's health will improve.
Thanks everyone!

Veronica

Hang in there...times are so hard

...we are struggling also...my hubby just had the doc put him on insulin in addition to his oral meds. If it weren't for credit cards (and thankfully, good credit - at least so far!)...we wouldn't be making it month to month!
I won't ramble on about my issues...just know that a prayer is going up for you,
RIGHT NOW!!
Blessings,
Doreen

adding YOU to the prayer list, too, doreen....when my church gets together for prayer, the list is SO long of people we pray for....people that love the Lord are suffering....but, they're not begging for bread and when the trumpet sounds and we go HOME there WON'T be many who'll say "NO, i'd rather stay here on the earth"..............maranatha..........................niki
