PLEASE PRAY FOR MY HUSBAND...

I am trying to convince my husband to just TRY doing LDL for 2 weeks, faithfully, with no "slips", or creative
add-ons..."a little of this won't hurt"...etc.
He is a diabetic, too, and his readings are very high. He started using Insulin about a month ago, in addition to Metformin and Glipizide (sp?). This morning his first reading was 145 and he thought that was great...it's been typically much higher than that. I told him it's not GREAT, it's better than it was, but still way too high.
Then we had the conversation, where I "challenged" him to try eating totally LDL for 2 weeks and see how his sugar readings change. He has lived with and seen my success with LDL...my readings improved drastically and the doctor agreed to discontinue one of my diabetes meds... He said this morning, that he will "think about it".
Please pray that he will decide to try LDL, for the HEALTH OF IT!
Counting on your prayers...
In the precious Name of Jesus!
Love,
Doreen

You have mine Doreen, sure hope your husband will take the step as it is a real good plan for us diabetics.
I wish my husband would join me as would make my life a lot simpler. Before when I was on low carb, he went along with me for awhile but this time he hasn't suggested it. He loves bread and finds it real difficult to give that up and his chocolate. He could lose some and feel better, I'm sure.
Have a great day Doreen.

Doreen, PLEASE PLEASE tell Wayne Neil's story. The diabetic retinopathy, kidney failure, maybe even the cancer for all I know -- all due to unmanaged diabetes. And he is only type 2, diet controlled (now) but when he was first diagnosed, he wouldn't take his pill, wouldn't test, wouldn't go in for his routine blood work, wouldn't keep his appointments at the Joslin Diabetes Center. He waited until he actually went blind before doing something about it. The Lord blessed him with a fabulously talented and dedicated opthalmic surgeon who saved his eyes, but Neil STILL DIDN'T START TAKING CARE OF HIS DIABETES MANAGEMENT UNTIL HE HAD TO HAVE A SECOND EYE SURGERY! ! ! omg
I firmly believe the cancer would have been caught at stage I or II if he had been doing his regular testing and followup. == instead of waiting until he was at stage IV with large lesions in his liver.
WAYNE - I'M BEGGING YOU TO TURN IT AROUND TODAY BEFORE YOU BECOME ANOTHER STATISTIC ! ! !
Prayerfully,
Gwen

Thank you so much...I am going to tell Wayne everything you've said. Maybe I can get him to try LDL at the beginning of the year...he's bullheaded and doesn't want to give up bread, chocolate (SF), chips, etc. He's NOT overweight, it's just his blood sugar is out of wack!
Keep Praying & thank you...
Love You!
Doreen

DOreen and Gwennie...I understand. My hubby is overweight AND his blood sugars are out of control. (of course by his standards...if you don't know what the sugar level is because you don't test it, you can continue to live in denial!)
Continuing to pray for BOTH of our husbands to see the light and follow LDL!

what is up with all these husbands???

....DON'T they realize what they're doing to their bodies?.....they're committing suicide SLOWLY.........
veronica....i have been praying for rob for months...over a year....and there are LOADS of people praying for him....not just me.................he should be afraid that God is going to whack him over the head...............and ALL of them should be lookin out for THIS guy

NOW, i need a category in my prayer list just for your husbands...
i started the thread on diabetes....it now has almost six THOUSAND hits on it.....that tells you how many people that come on these boards are interested in the subject of diabetes...and actually, it was originally my intention to get diabetics to stay on that particular thread when they posted their success on let's do lunch so that someone who was a diabetic would click on that one thread and get ALL the info they needed.........so, add so many other threads and posts to that number and it's an astronomical number..........here's a link to it...................i think info on diabetes is something EVERYONE should have...........
http://www.letsdolunch.com/boards/index ... 41.0 FURTHERMORE, i challenge ALL diabetics reading this to take the healthcheck on web md.......

I don't know how I forgot to mention this. Because Neil refused to keep up with his regular diabetes checkups, he also developled [glow=red,2,300]END STAGE KIDNEY FAILURE[/glow] (ESRD) and now will probably have to be on hemodialysis for the rest of his life, unless the Lord supernaturally heals his kidneys, which I'm not ruling out. All this could have been prevented by routine blood work a couple times a year.
Speaking of supernatural healings -- one of Neil's cancer markers is down from 330 ... to ... 3.2, after 3 rounds of chemo. PRAISE GOD!
