Special Prayer Request

The Lord has placed some special intentions on my heart this week. Six months ago tomorrow, Hurricane Ike slammed into our area. We had some pretty major damage when a 40 ft. tree fell through our kitchen and flooded 3 rooms of our home. We were so lucky, for we had insurance and the help of so many wonderful friends and family to restore our home. We truly were so blessed, because my husband fell off our 9 ft. roof onto the concrete driveway, when he was repairing our roof with his brother and only broke his wrist! We have been so blessed to have had order restored to our lives.
There are so many people in our area who are still in tents and trailers, with no insurance. We have a family in Kemah, Texas with 13 children, eight of which are adopted. They have fostered 80 children throughout the years, most of which are special needs children, and many with terminal illnesses. Their home was destroyed, with no insurance. They were living in tents, before they received 2 Fema trailers. Still cramped quarters for 15 people. They have been nominated for Extreme Home Makeover, but from what I understand that is a difficult process. Please pray for this family. They are the Beach Family, as well as for all the families still suffering from the storm. Our news said tonight, that we still have 1000 families that are still displaced from their homes. Please lift all of these people up in your prayers and pray that the Lord will some sort of order to their lives.
