This is my first post and my first day of doing LDL. I just bought the red book and I am looking forward to eating until I am full. I hope that I will actually feel full for the first time in a long while. I am definitely a sugar addict and a binge eater. In some ways I feel fortunate that I "only" have 70 lbs to lose. Please pray for me as I try with God's help to break my addiction to chocolate and other sugars. I also really want to set a good eating example to my 3 little boys. I am a stay at home mom and with 5 pregnancy's in 6 years and a back injury it as seemed impossible to lose weight. BUT with God anything is possible. thank you in advance for your prayers. Jennifer

Hey Jennifer,
I too was a sugar addict and was eating up to the time I went to bed (midnight or later). After being on LDL for a few day (less than a week), I didn't crave sweets anymore. I am eating healthier, going to bed earlier, getting up earlier and even started exercising today. July 5th will be my one month celebration and I feel that I have come a long way and that this is my new life, one that I can stick to.
Much success to you!
Dorothy

Hello, Jennifer, and Welcome!
You can do it. Simple as that.
Some people find they want to ease into LDL. "I've got some leftover spaghetti I need to finish."
Others want to dive right in, compliant for Day 1. That takes more planning, if you've got the typical "American Diet" stocked in your kitchen.
Either one is FINE. Remember, this is a process. This is for the "long haul." You'll learn what you LOVE for breakfast, and what you need to make that great recipe you read on the boards (and bookmarked!)
In the beginning, go ahead and binge...just make sure it's all LDL-approved foods! Eat the whole watermelon! Eat five LDL burgers, with pickles and mustard! Eat a HUGE bowl of Mary's Corn Chowder! Eat 10 ears of sweetcorn, with ICBINB and salt!
I promise...in time, you will learn what amount of food is right for you, and you'll feel great and lose weight in the process.
Your kids will love this food, too. Who doesn't love fresh fruit?
Good luck...keep reading....keep asking questions....keep trying new recipes....we're here for you, in prayer and in postings.
