Hi Everyone,

Some of you may have noticed that Vicki, Jerzy Girl, has not been on the boards lately. She has a lot going on in her life right now and shared some of it with me. I am asking for prayers for her family on her behalf. I miss her terribly and hope she can rejoin us with great news real soon. Thanks Everyone! J

From Vicki: I would appreciate a prayer request for both my husband Ruddy and my SIL, Frank. 

About her husband's heart condition: 
Rudy, my husband, had heart bypass in early 2006. Today (after nuclear stress test) they found another major artery blockage. It's 60-70% and he has to make major lifestyle changes, do bloodwork, take some new meds and go for a revisit and consult to see what the heart enzyme numbers are. He has to stay on a very strict diet to get 20lbs off. The idea is to keep the blockage from getting worse. After his bloodwork is done, we'll have a better idea if there is anything additionally serious going on.

Regarding her Son in Law:
SIL, whose heart is still out sinus rhythm and he won't tell the doctor because he doesn't want to go back into the hospital. And this a.m. he got results of a lung CAT and he has a nodule which is 7 millimeters - anything over 5 is a "concern". They want to watch it for 3 months and if it grows, it means trouble. So for 90 days he has to sweat that - he had the CAT because in June they "saw something" on xray.

Lots of prayers coming your way, Jerzy Girl, for you, and your hubby, and your son-in-law and daughter. A lot to deal with, and the waiting is sometimes the hardest part. So maybe your hubby will join you on LDL to lose that weight the doctor ordered? ? We'll pray that it will be so!

about my SIL. He was in congestive heart failure in June. He almost died. Now his heart is again erratic and we don't know if what is on his lung is cancer. Additionally, he has been diagnosed with sleep apnea and some of the docs think it's the sleep apnea that caused the heart problem. Also, he has heart valve problem, thickening walls of heart and bronchi. We adore this guy and he has been my daughter's one and only since they were 14 years old.

She lost 3 pregnancies during the marriage and if she loses him, I don't know if she could recover.

My husband's blockage is in a major artery and one of the same ones they bypassed in '06, except down lower. The objective is to keep it from getting worse, but his BP is up too despite meds. Last year at this time he did not show a block and now it's at 70%. I'm very worried that it could rapidly get worse despite best efforts and that he'd have another heart attack before they could do a stent.

Stress level for me is quite challenging.

prayers going your way, Vicki, for both your dh and sil, may the Great Physician heal them both, and give guidance and wisdom to the physicians who are managing their care.  May you all feel the loving arms of the Lord wrap around you and give you strength and wisdom to deal with the challenges sent your way.  Amen

So so good to see your smiling face come up tonight. I know you are only smiling bc it is a photo but somehow it gives me hope that everything could turn out all right. I am praying for all of you and hope that these challenges will pass soon and the outcome will be a fresh new healthy start.

Vicki....My husband had a heart attack 2 years ago...They put in a stent and he is doing fine...He is very strict about his eating but does have the side effects of the statin drugs...He said if you ever feel the pain of a heart attack you will want to eat right...Praying for you...When things like this happens it sure makes you look at life differently...

Vicki, my prayers are with you.  In o1, my hubby had a 5 way bypass.  He is like the energizer bunny, he just keeps going.  We changed our way of eating then.  I started using olive oil for every thing, low fat dressings, etc.  We started an exercise program.  He golfs most warm days and also exercise with me.    I wish I had known about LDL eating then.  He loves almost everything I fix.  He eats sweets though.  You have a lot on you so you need to draw strength from your heavenly Father.  He is always with you.  With care and love, Joyful Friend
