Just tried the coconut extract in a smoothie and I am feeling the warm tropical breeze :), thanks for the idea.  My hubby used to make flavored liquors so I went though his collection.  He had apple, watermelon, lime, and orange to name a few.  His were all natural, he found them online but doesn't remember the site.  Julybug

Yummy those others sound good also.  I have looked at other flavors but they are not natural so I stick with the delicious coconut.

Since I went to Idaho I have been battling swelling and weight gain.  I don't know what I did different or if my body decided to just let go but I was down 6 lbs this morning and all the swelling is gone.  Praise God!

Those are the ONLY hotdogs I consume Wendy! They answer to a Higher Authority! ;D I buy the reduced fat because the fat-free taste funky to me.

How did you prepare them?

i just threw them on the grill and when they were done I put BBQ sauce on them and let it heat up and then removed them from grill.  They were delicious and I served them without bun but with stone ground dijon mustard.

Hi ladies!  You may have already addressed this with Mary and RT, so I hesitate to say anything, because you are losing weight & I'm not . . . So . . . I'll just throw it out there & you can take it or leave it:

It is my understanding hot dogs are not LDL approved because they are heavily processed.  Just because a product is "all beef" doesn't necessarily make it healthy, as it can contain high proportions of beef fat.  I don't know what qualifies as a filler, but all the Hebrew National hotdogs ingredients lists contained hydrolyzed soy protein.  The lowfat hotdogs use modified food starch.  These ingredients are as processed as it gets.  You probably want to be careful using them.

I enjoy making link sausage shapes with the LDL burger & sausage recipes.  One of these days I hope to get a meat grinder & a sausage stuffer attachment to my Kitchen Aid.

Hugs to all -- Gwen

Thanks Gwen
Ya I know but during the summer we do so much BBQing that here and there hotdogs will be the meat.  I have looked at it that they are better then the other kind.  I am just too lazy sometimes to make something else on short notice.
Good to hear from you.

L:  Grapes
    Orange, Banana, Pineapple Smoothie
D:  BBQ Chicken Breast

Wendy, I just read your journal. Congrats, you are doing great.  How do you make the cherry pie LDL way. Is it with bananas or something different?  Sounds good.  Thanks for sharing  Karen

This pie is so delicious.  It really only takes a short time to make and makes enough to last for a couple days.
Here is the page for it:

I made 3 new dishes today and they were all good.  The meat called for it to be broiled so I broiled it just long enough to get the topping to secure to the meat.  Then I baked it until done rather then broiled the whole time.

B:  Cherries & Raspberries
L:  Tuna & Black Bean Salad
    Lemon-Mustard Pork Chops
    Sweet Cumumber Salad
D:  Orange, banana, pineapple & coconut flavoring Smoothie
    Popcorn

I would love to!  I love to travel but I think my husband would feel abandoned.  Oh well!
