Cindy
That is how I gained my weight is I hurt my knee and over the years I began  to do less and less because of the pain.  I finally got insurance that paid for me to have knee replacement surgery a year ago.  I have been so happy with the surgery and am now able to walk or whatever kind of excersize I want to do as soon as I get motivated into doing it.
I have been on a plateau now for a while but the first year went so quickly.  I love this way of eating and have not in all this time gotten tired of all the variety of foods.  I am eating better now then I ever was before starting LDL.
I look forward to seeing your progress as you continue to lose weight and find health

Wendy,
TY for the encouragement. I do love the food and know I can do this as a lifestyle. They really are foods I grew up with, of course I had a stay at home mom who was a fabulous cook and enjoyed everything from scratch. Of course knee pain is worse with added weight so it is a double edge sword and  the  big M  does not help our bones. I do weight bearing exercises and have done that for 6months and that helps the bones. Once I'm at goal I will evaluate my pain level. My doctor will not even consider it at this weight (knee replacement) but down the road who knows. Im excited about this and never hungry.

That is what one doctor told me also so I got another opinion.  The 2nd doc was willing to do surgery because I was so miserable.  I then took off weight and got rid of all inflamation before surgery and it was a great success.

I am sure you will do great. I now am doing 15min in the morning and 15 min in the evening. Hoping to increase to 45 min. Just don't do too much in the begining. I started with 10 min. You can mess yourself up if you do too much too soon. So be careful. Keep me updated.

Our baby pup had his surgery yesterday.  They were able to repair more then they ever expected.  He said we need to pray that it all holds together since he had to stretch the pallette.  The put a cone over his head that he has to wear 10 days so he is very uncomfortable.

Wendy, my dog had a very hard time getting used to her cone. But finally learned how to deal with it. After it was time to take it off she wanted it back on....very funny she learned to like it. Hope your puppy will be back to good health soon. Keep us informed.

Oh, Wendy, that was the puppy with the cleft pallette.  He is the cutest little thing.  Long haired chihuahua and schnauzer -- such a cutie.  I'm glad he made it though the surgery OK -- now to get him through having to wear the cone.  Keep us posted on him and about the family that takes him into their family.  I'm sure there is someone special out there for such a special pup.

Wendy, he is sooo cute.  Hope all goes well for him.  Our Trinket had to wear a cone when she had her hernia surgery.  She got used to it.   JF

He is feeling pretty good.  But tonight we all paniced when he got his lower jaw on the outside of the cone.  It was tight enough that we couldn't slide it down to get his jaw back inside the cone.  By then he was so scared I ended up taking scissors and cutting it off.  Now because his mouth hurts he is chewing on everything he can get his mouth around.  We have just been praying over him that the stitches will hold while he bites everything, even fingers and toes.
