Hi Marie,

I haven't tried the corn chowder yet but sure it is delicious as all of Mary's recipes are.  I wish we had a recipe for clam chowder.  I love that and have been thinking about how we could make it.

Have a great day!

I think Mary or someone made a recipe for the red clam chowder. Just search it on the boards and I'm sure you'll find it!

Just click on the "Soups" recipe file, then type "clam" into the search window.  Manhattan clam chowder and a Corn and crab chowder recipe both come up, plus others. ;)

Sorry, I was thinking of the Old England clam chowder.  The white one as we called it.

Thanks for the feedback though.

Hi Marie,

I see you like New England clam chowder also.  I was wondering if we used some pureed white beans and little skim milk if that would work for the base.  I need to put more thought into it and do a test recipe.  I also want to try the crab cake recipe that is posted here.  They sound so good.  I love seafood.

Hope you have a great day tomorrow and God's blessings upon you.

Just stopped in a minute before work...

Couldn't one modify the recipe for Little Mary's Chicken and Sweetcorn Chowder to make a New England clam chowder?

LOL; we have a very sensitive bad-word-catcher because for awhile there a few years ago we had an awful time here with spam-mail, nasty pictures, and stuff.
So if I write: 'shrimp cocktail' it gets caught as spam. BUT if you stick a space in to trick the spam-guard you get: 'shrimp c ocktail'.

Marie, how do you make your cauliflower and broccoli soup?  My dh came home with two big cauliflowers and I had one already so needing ideas for using them.

Did you find your Mexican chicken recipe?  I wish we could eat dishes with hot peppers and spicy food but can't.  I love it and enjoyed it when young.

Hope you have a great Tuesday.

Carrole,

There is a recipe for Broccoli and Cauliflower Soup in the LDL Book and, I believe, among the recipe cards.
