Wendy, You have done so well with your knee surgery. When you lose all the weight you want, you will be ready to move. How great! It is beautiful here today. The lilacs and dogwoods are in bloom. I need to get himming bird containers out---hope I'm not too late. We had a beautiful church service. My hubby left for a 4 day golf outing to SC. I now can just do what I please, when I please. I have something most of the days to do--meetings and fun things. and Joyful Friend
So glad to see you are doing so well with your knee. So many people I know put it off so long because they want to avoid surgery.
I went to a Coldwater Creek store in Billings that was really nice. I wear large, but I am very short, only 5'1". I was over 200 pounds but about 5 years ago realized I just can't handle wheat and managed to get down to 170. When I discovered LDL I realized rice was just as bad for me. I have gotten down to 160 but haven't lost in a month. But it is an extremely busy time for me with deadlines at work and I am getting no exercise. I am doing well with the food part but know in my case I need to exercise also. So I have to get that in place soon. Hopefully we will get warmer weather soonand I can get walking. We are so far north it stays light really late in the evening in spring and summer so that is nice for walking. You are right about Montana being an experience. It is very beautiful and so clean and fresh. The problem I had when I drove down was the strong winds in Southern Alberta and Northern Montanan. I was in Billings for a conference. I was also in Helena earlier when my daughter had to go there to take an exam to make her RN credentials valid in the US as well as Canada.
I am 5'11 so I can carry a little more weight but certainly not as much as I was trying to carry. I am not far from Missoula so Billings is quite a trip from where I live. I am actually closer to Idaho and the store that is there. Yes the wind in that area is awful. My husband is from Big Timber Mt just outside of Livingston which is know as the little Chicago because of the wind. I hated living in Big Timber for 8 long years. It never quit blowing and there were times it was so strong you had to walk bent over. I could see why everyone had short hair.
This has been a busy day where I had trouble fitting eating into the plan. I ended up eating my breakfast at almost noon so my lunch was real late and just kinda extended into my evening meal.
B: Fuji Apple Raspberries L: Last of the Pulled Pork Green salad w/ sweet onion dressing and chicken breasts D: the rest of green salad I didn't have time to eat earlier Popcorn
We are having a bit of a dinner party tonight so will eat my big meal tonight. I decided to make raspberry souffle for dessert so had to make quite alot of them since they are quite small when they finish cooking. I then ended up with egg yolks that I couldn't bare to throw away so made an omelet with them.
Is the garlic salmon you are serving the one on here with parsley and dijon mustard and garlic? I am having people in next week and I am going to make that. I made it for hubby the other day and he loved it.
Thanks Gwen I found from the beginning I like alot of variety to help me stay satisfied. Sometimes I get lazy and eat the same thing but not often. I was thinking yesterday about soups and summer. I am thinking I wont want to be eating hot soups for my lunch so I have been looking on the boards for alternative meals that are filling.
