Welcome back Bethann. We have missed you.
Circumstances have changed for me also. We have a nephew and his diabetic wife staying with us and neither have determined to follow this.
So there is now non-LDL foods in the house.
I have not been tempted but hubby was and his weight gain has proven to him that he cannot afford to go there.
For me it is feeling like I have to come home and cook and it ends up being late (like around 7-8pm before supper is eaten).
I am eating LDL but I know that it has caused me to gain a little.
Lately they have been eating before I get home so I can start eating lighter in the evening now.
You do what you can, but stick to the LDL principles of eating unprocessed food and you will stay on track.
Praying for the Lord to work it out to where you can do what is needed to get the rest of the weight off.

Thanks Linda!
I can relate to your situation!
It is a challenge but with God's help and my focus properly there (praying) it can happen! Can't do it with out that!
Wish you were near by so we could go out for coffee! :-)

Blessings to you today...
Beth(Ann)

I'm praying and preparing myself psychologically to start on Monday but will be thinking that way this weekend as well as I know every little change helps and adds up.....
(..... I have to travel this weekend and don't know what to expect concerning food when visiting....but will do what I can.)

Beth,

So nice to hear from you -- it's been a while and we miss our old friends  *hug* .  I am so pleased to hear that you are still trying your hardest to lose the weight you want.  I believe slow is the way to go and any little tenth of a pound is still a weight loss.  You CAN do it!

Well, I keep trying and at least I am not gaining.....
Life is just too busy for me right now. I predict things will fall into place when things slow down a bit more....
I continue to be so thankful for Let's Do Lunch. It continues to be the only program that has worked for me.
Love, prayers and  *hug*

Did well yesterday but forgot that I couldn't have coconut....in my Curry Chicken.
Did pretty well though for example: Gave my Dairy Queen treat away to my daughter!
Thanking God for some progress....It's been a long year! Intense but God is in control and I am thankful! :-)
All 3 kids are home now. That is challenging but fun! My Mother still needs lots of care but so thankful for my brothers help and other help!!!!

Until later  :)

How time flies!
It has been a crazy week!
I went to Thunder Bay with my daughter for the weekend. We live in an isolated part of Ontario so we have to travel for tests and other things. Thunder Bay is 4 hours away. My daughter has had head pain for 2 years so she was sent to there to have 2 MRI done. The first was Sat. a.m. and the second Sunday a.m. I was surprised as to how beautiful the hospital and hospital grounds are. It was built brand new not too long ago.
I was hoping we would see a moose along the way!  And we did!!!

I tried to do LDL but it was difficult but I did do a lot better then if I had not been trying.
This week has not been easy and too busy but today I had time to go grocery shopping and again bough fruit. I will do better tomorrow. :-) This girl will not give up! Fruit and Beans tomorrow!

God bless!

Beth

I keep trying but I am not as consistent as I want to be.
BUT I will not give up.....little steps do make a difference. If I am trying though imperfectly at least I won't gain more weight! :-)

Isa 40:31 "Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

I keep praying and giving it to the Lord. I know I will have success eventually....
TODAY I start again! (...and I will keep restarting until I get myself figured out  ;D )
I am referring to the LDL book more (especially his meal plans this week) and though my life is too busy my goal is to read it again.

Some changes I have made in my diet:
When I first wake up I have a glass of water with fresh lemon (or if I don't have fresh lemons I use the reconstituted stuff)

I am back to drinking coffee again.....often I use organic soy milk in it and I sweeten it with stevia or sugar or half stevia and half sugar or some other natural sweetener....I get sick of using just stevia but if I am finding this is slowing my weight loss I will quit.

TODAY starting again... :-)
