I will check the book when I am at home and have time.  Those two conditions don't happen at the same time, often enough to suit me - home & time!  Always something that needs doing, and then before I know it, it's time for bed and start it all over again at 5:30am!!

I know I just had a vacation, but I could use another weeek, just to stay home!

Pat,

I had forgotten about that expression....I agree though.  It's been so long since we took a REAL vacation (not just visiting family) and a 12 day stretch of doing the tourist thing, was exhausting!

Glad to be back!

If you ever feel like you want to correct something you posted like this, you can go to the message & click on 'Modify' just above the message on the right.  It will open the post in a window just like it was when you originally typed it.  Then you can fix it.  I use it all the time instead of spell check.  For some reason, it's easier for me to see in the final format.  "Preview" takes too long on my computer..

Wow Marie,
Your menu looks so skinny. ha.  I would be starving after that.  I made chicken vegetable soup  and took out the chicken so could have it tonight.  I had a large fruit smoothie and 3 bowls of the soup.  Seemed there was nothing in it to fill me up although I did put rutabaga's, celery, onion, corn, and some chick peas into it.  So trying not to snack on anything else even though I still feel hungry.

I'm excited to go shopping for a new top tomorrow.  We are going to have dinner with a sister and friends on Friday night so wanted something different to wear.  Plus I have my birthday money burning a hole in my pocket.ha.

Have a great Monday!

Hi Marie,

Just stopping by to say hi.  It would be ok to go golfing these last few days here but everything is still brown and not ready for golfing.  We need some good rains to green things up.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Hi Marie,

I wish  I liked spaghetti squash,  Like most of the others but the spaghetti seems so bland to me.  Have tried it several times with sauce but usually end up throwing some of it away because just can't eat it.  I may not cook it long enough either.

The wind is blowing like a cyclone, was over 59 miles an hour at times today and severe storms went through so I stayed home.  Missed getting outside.

Have fun golfing.

Carrole,

I am one of those who love spag squash.  I cook it until it's very tender, shred out the "meat" with a fork, and I prefer it with a little olive oil, a little garlic salt, and just a tiny bit of FF Parmesan cheese! YUMMM  *woot*

Hey Girl!  Looking GOOD!  So happy to see you & that sweet hubby getting out & getting fresh air & exercise.  I toasted Corn Thins Mexican Tostadas TWICE yesterday, thinking about you the whole time.  I posted my recipe under Main Dishes.  Please check it out.

I have been toasting them in the toaster oven, then spraying with a little EVOO, sprinkling with seasonings & then another LIGHT spray to hold all in place.  SO yummy.  I was thinking it would be okay to use taco seasonings for that special flavor, but you could extend them by adding extra dried onion, garlic, thyme, paprika, chili powder & cumin.  You would still be getting the package taco seasoning taste, but consuming less of the sugars & starches in each sprinkle!

Loves, Gwen
