Frozen fruit is great in the summer.
Instead of buying Ice Cream load up on frozen fruit so it is always handy.
And if you buy too much fresh fruit, before it goes bad, throw it in ziplock bags and into freezer.
Then you always have something handy for smoothies.
You can make the smoothies ahead and freeze them too.
Frozen graples are a great substitute for icecream.
I even like frozen blueberries mixed with a little raw yogurt.
Knowing what HFCS does to the body makes ice cream not so tasty.
The frozen fruit really does taste better. You just have to have it handy and eat until full.
Then you will not reach for the ice cream any more.

Awww so that is what HFCS is. I'm guessing that is very bad. Well back from vacation - gained 4 pounds, not as bad as I thought.  I hope to fast today for the most part but in case I get hungry - fruit.  Might make a soup. I really have to get back on the ball here.

Thanks Linda for the great articles. I printed them out and put them on my fridge - Maybe reading them everyday will help me stay away from the bad foods.  I have managed to stay true to LDL for 2 days now. My scale is broken, so will not be weighing in for a long while. I am just going to pray the weight comes off easily.

Thanks Jo for the encouragement
Thanks for asking about my daughter Cameron - She is doing amazingly well. I thank God everyday for her amazing recovery and I thank all my LDL friends for their prayers and well wishes. She turned 15 in May and has a job interview at Wendy's tomorrow. I am praying she gets the job - she gets very bored at times.
Haven't heard from you for a while Cameron - everything well with you?

I finally weighed in today - at least I haven't gained. I am still down 20 pounds.  I have been drinking  a half glass of red wine at night - is that bad? anyone know? I have just been needing it lately. I was weak last night and begged my husband to go get me chocolate and nuts but thankfully he refused. I need to get strong. I find that when others around me are doing well and talk healthy, I do the opposite and eat and eat and eat. Strange.
Yesterday
Breakfast: refried beans and eggs
lunch: banana, orange, nectarine, corn thins
dinner: chicken stir fry
snack: dried cranberries, red wine

not sure...roger says you can drink some things...read your book, do you have a book?? lol  i think wine is ok, cause its from grapes.

i think that might be one of those things that it depends on the person, some can with no problem, while others might stall and that kinda thing...i almost ordered some last night while out for birthday dinner but didn't want to chance it since i met my goal, i don't wanna be back over 200 anytime soon (or EVER)!! lol

just a heads up dried cranberries probably have sugar in them so i would eat as few of them as satisfy you! i haven't been able to find any that don't have sugar added.  don't know if you knew that or not.

chicken stir fry sounds reallly yummy!!

hang in there girl!! praying for you!

Thanks Jo I need all the prayers I can get. I just don't understand why I have such issues denying myself food. I did know about the dried cranberries but ate them anyway - did try to watch the serving size.  I ended up doing so bad yesterday that I won;t even post what I ate. I noticed that everytime I eat bad I get severe heartburn - you would think that would help me to eat good but it doesn't.
Today
Breakfast: refried beans, eggs, nectarine
lunch: banana, nectarine, green peppers, and stir fry
dinner: will try not to eat because I have to go to a party where they are serving margaritas so knowing me I will probably not be able to deny grrr

Jencita, don't be so hard on yourself....You have to LOVE yourself more than food. You are not a lone It's hard for a lot of us to let go of all those fattening foods we loved so well. If we fall we just have to get right back up and keep going. There is no simple way to loose weight. If there were we would all be skinny. Just don't bring those foods home that tempt you so much. You know you want to loose so I am sure you will, you have the desire. Just learn to say NO. Try not to go to the places you know will tempt you to eat what you don't want too. You are a very beautiful lady, hang in there!  *hug*  WITHER

there is NOTHING "wrong" with you! nothing more than the rest of us , anyway, lol!! you are a human being...just like we all are!! none of us are perfect, not one, the bible tells us that!

i keep telling you, you will get there, eventually, in GOD's time...be patient with yourself...He will get you there, in His time!!

i had to come to that realization, too, hun and til i did i was frustrated and angry with myself all the time, and it was hard and i didn't like it! now i have decided that i'm going to do my best and leave the rest up to Him!!

just tell youself like i did...i'm going to eat the way i should, exercise when i can...if i mess up, i'm gonna pick myself up, dust myself off and move on, with His help...

so here is your new motto...are you ready for it??? repeat after me....

DO YOUR BEST and HANG THE REST!!!  ;D

much love and prayers!!
