(((Hugs))) Jencita!  *hug* *hug* *hug*
You and I.....we'll hang in here together.  Ok?
This does work.  Snags happen.  Keep on keeping on with me.
We want this to be a sprint but it's a marathon.  At least in my experience slow and steady wins this race.
I'm rooting for you.  So many here are rooting for you too.

Love,

Thanks so much Wither, Jo, and mrsj for the pep talk and vote of confidence. I know this WOE works - I actually managed to lose 20 pounds which amazes me. I am just so weak at denying myself. Having all of you for support really helps.  Yesterday I ran in place for 10 minutes and did some calisthenics.  I stayed on track but did allow myself a glass of wine in the evening which I decided not to buy anymore.
Breakfast: refried beans, eggs
lunch: salad
dinner: watermelon, soup

Hi Cameron. I am hanging in there. I start good every day but usually end not so good. I have not lost or gained so I am maintaining a 20 pound loss which I am happy with for right now.  I just need to get motivated again.  There has been so many parties and showers and I just can't seem to deny the goodies - but I just keep trying every day.  How is everything with you?

Hi Jencita:

How has it been going? Haven't heard from you for a little while. Have you been able to maintain the 20 pound weight loss?

Been wondering about you too, Jenni.
The big wedding day is October 1st?
Just around the corner and am sure plans are coming together fast.
Hope you are able to wear the dress you were hoping for.
Nevertheless, I am sure you will be a gorgeous mother-of-the-bride.
Be sure to share the pictures!

Hi everyone,
Thanks or inquiring about me - I have not had the opportunity to journel as much. Life has been a little crazy to say the least. I have had my ups and downs but all in all I have maintained my 20 pound loss - I will gain a few pounds here and there but manage to lose it.  Because of all the stress, I have not even attempted at weight loss, just trying to maintain.  After the wedding, I am hoping to rejuvenate and lose.  I have definitely decided that I feel a lot better when I am on LDL so for the most part, I follow the plan.

On 9/11 my beautiful granddaughter was born Gabriella Jennie 6#11oz. On 9/9 I was subpeonied to the OBN in Colombus to be there 9/12 - so you can imagine the stress but thanks be to God it ended up being uneventful, just a few questions regarding a school I used to work for.  I also have to teach a pharmacology class which means lots of studying since I have never taught this before and am very rusty on my meds - a bit stressful.

The wedding is fast approaching and I was smart by buying a dress that fit nicely so not the additional stress of having to lose. I will be back on LDL full force right after the wedding.  Hugs to you all . . .

Thanks everyone for all the postive words. I am starting fresh today. My goal is to lose 10 pounds by Christmas - I believe that to be a very reasonable goal. I have the mental mindset to go slow. I only lost 20 pounds in one year - good thing though is that I maintained.
Today:
Breakfast: banana, refried beans and eggbeaters
lunch: apple, corn thins
dinner: huge salad with beans and eggs - if I am really hungry will do chili.

Does anyone know if the campbells chunky chili is okay? It does have 3g of sugar

hey, 20 pounds is better than none!!!  that's how i would look at it...

as long as sugar is the 3rd ingredient or after, you should be fine jen, that is the general rule....it's best if it's not in the ingredients at all, but if you can't find one without sugar, then find one with the least amount! :)

ten pounds by Christmas sounds fairly reasonable to me, if you stick to the plan...which YOU CAN DO!!

{{hugs}} and prayers... YOU GOT THIS!!

Thanks Jo and Cameron,
Good - I did not know that general rule of 3rd ingred or less. That will help.  It always takes me a day or two to get back on. I got weak last night and ate a handful of choc chips.
Today I will be strong.
Breakfast: banana, refried beans and eggs
Lunch: salad bar day at work
dinner: apple, chili

awww thanks Pam. Still not 100% on track - am working on it though. I was starving this afternoon and ate an arbys sandwich. Will try to make up for that by not eating dinner or if really hungry just fruit.

Check out the Wheat Belly site on the internet.  It will really make you think twice before you ever eat another wheat bun!  Pam
