( I don't know about how faithful I am to post, though. Didn't do well either eating or posting through the month of April! But I'm back on track now.)

I have a problem with turning everything into a "law", so I was posting regularly.  Then I was gone, then I ate some things I shouldn't have, then and then.......so I stopped posting for a while.  Waiting for that LEGAL mindset to disappear. :D  I confessed to my accountability partner (my dh) last night that I was "drifting" from LDL and needed to get back on 100% and he said "It's up to you.  You're the only one who can do it!"  Words of wisdom. So I will begin posting again.

You are SO right Ms. Pat.  That is something I learned while trying to quit smoking.  It's a good thing to take a deep breath once in a while and remind yourself that this is your CHOICE, not a law that must be obeyed.  Looking at it in that light freed me up to relax and took off the (self-imposed) pressure to "be good".

So the next time someone is feeling panicky about & indulge inappropriately, please stop, take a deep breath and remind yourself, "I can choose to have this, or I can choose NOT to have it.  It doesn't make any difference to anyone but me and I will stilL be loved JUST AS I AM."

*scyth*  *scyth* UGH! I HATE my internet provider!!! We were off-line for 3 days! No reason given! *scyth*  *scyth*
Ok
Some meals I did good, some I did not. I am looking forward to breakfast tomorrow.  Feeling anxious due to expected chaos over the next few days: my older brother, whom I live with, is getting married and things will not be 'business as usual' for a bit. I love having extended family in but the ensuing chaos drives me nuts.

Ok, I've got to keep in mind that it's about my brother and his bride. It's not all about me....

:rose: *love* Hey LP! I love you! Thank you for the hug!

What a LONG day! I got to sleep around midnight. Alarm went off at 5am, Left for work at 5:30. Worked all day. rushed over to the campus gym to help decorate it for the wedding. Went home with the intention of napping but spent too much time visiting relatives and getting things ready for tomorrow. Went to the rehearsal dinner. (No rehearsal... They've both done this before and decided to skip it. lol )  Ran to the store to get more fruit. Came ome with the intention of going to bed early. But I am sitting here reading messages instead....

Well, we now have a "Mr", a "Mrs', and a "Miss" with the same last name living under our roof.
My brother and my friend married this afternoon. It has been a GOOD day.
(I've never married, so I'm the third one mentioned above.)
They're going camping nearby for their honeymoon, so I'll have the 6 dogs with me for the next week.

10 May 2009

Breakfast:
apple, banana

Lunch:
[I'm worn out, stressed, and exhausted; today is Mother's Day and I miss my mother.... I didn't make good choices]
iced tea sweetened with Stevia, chips, salsa, queso, stuffed peppers, refried beans
For the Newbies here, the chips and queso were not good choices. AND I am uncertain about how the refried beans were made; some places use beans only and puree them, some places use lard or other fat to make them.

Supper:
grilled chicken breast, corn on the cob, green beans, water

Hi Sis.  I miss my mom, too.  And there are MANY times I envy your "singleness".  Plus I'm a little ticked at my family.  They are still sitting around waiting to be told what to do about Mother's Day since they are clueless about what to feed me and we don't have the budget for the one carat diamond ear studs I jokingly said I wanted for Christmas.  Since we can't afford those, they have apparently decided that an apology for no present is sufficient in lieu of any further acknowledgement of the day.

That was the perfect response.  Thank you.

So - do you have anything fun planned for your birthday Saturday?  Wanna go bowling?

I'm gonna work for four hours in the morning. Then go to lunch somewhere. I have a one hour massage scheduled at 2pm. And for the evening my friends are planning an unwanted party. (I hate all the attention being on me; makes me anxious.)  One of them told me today that they have a plan for dealing with my anxiety... When I arrive they'll sit me on the couch and sing me to sleep. Then, once I am napping and unaware, they'll go ahead with my birthday party...  ;)

Sorry fran;
I am NOT the one to ask about coffee. I HATE it. I simply drink one cup of black coffee every morning because it was prescribed by my neurologist. I put nothing in it most of the time. I simply make one cup in the coffee maker, allow it to cool enough to drink and then hold my breath and gulp it down as though it was medicine.

And most sugar free soft drinks have sweeteners in them that we have found to cause sugar cravings. I prefer to drink purified water. Occasionally I drink a diet Coke or diet Dr. Pepper, but very seldom.
You could drink hot tea sweetened with Stevia or Splenda...

Have you tried water with a little apple cider vinegar in it and Stevia?
