Hurray for me!!
Yesterday was 1 month on LDL. I stepped on the scale for the first time since starting my new WOE. I lost over 14 lbs!! Thank you all for this web site. Although I don't post often, I read the topics and the support you give. It has helped me stay on track.
I have a very strange craving. RAISINS!! What's up with that?

Congratulations on your weight loss!!!!!!!!! Don't know about the raisins but I am sure that the food police or others will chime in about the raisins.
Best of luck on your journey,
Martha

Catdog
I just did a hooray also. I have been on program for 8 weeks and the doctor is pleased. All my reports were excellent. As for the raisens it is probably the craving for sugar. RT says to eat them sparingly as it doesn't take much to eat alot of them. He says frozen grapes are better as it is more bulk and better for the system. Keep up the good work we are proud of you.

Congratulation!
I can't wait to get to my 1 month to weigh in- I find the raisins are very satisfying when I really want something sweet. AS the book says, if you gotta have it, have it- just do so sparingly.
Keep up the LDL

Congratulations catdog!! That's an awesome loss!
As for the raisins, have some. Just remember it takes a whole lot fewer raisins to fill you up than grapes.
Welcome to LDL, we're so glad you have posted your success. It's nice to meet you.

Re: Hurray for me!!
congrats on the weight loss, as for the raisons, it is probably because they are sweet, have lots of sweet fruit, and just a few raisons, will probably get you over the cravings.

Congratulations on the weight loss.
I will have my first LDL weigh-in July 27.
I'm hoping for good numbers!!
This has been the easiest healthy WOE I have tried.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful support. I'll try to eat more fresh fruit to steer me away from all the raisins I've been eating
Hugs to you all!

Re: Hurray for me!!
catdog...way to go! Woo hoo, big happy dance for you!
Try putting a handful a raisins in your fruit salad. This allowed me the super sweet taste of the raisins while consuming the bulkier fruit too. That way I didn't overeat the raisins like I would have if I had eaten them alone.

Re: Hurray for me!!
Julie,
I can't believe it either!! I was one that weighed myself on a daily basis. All that I would achieve was to discourage myself, and say "It's just not worth it." This time, I took everyone's advice at LDL, and waited like what seemed an eternity. But let me tell you, it was so worth it. I actually stepped off the scale and stepped back on again just to make sure it wasn't broken. I'm looking forward to my next 30 days!
