Just know you can't eat like that all the time and stay skinny. You indulged now it is time to get skinny. Save any more indulgences for when you are at goal!  *hug*

Jennie,

Eat more fruit so that you won't be tempted by other sweets. If you start desiring Cold Stone again, just eat fruit until "it's coming out your ears."

Thanks Linda and Ollie. I am hoping to regroup today. The sad part is that I know I gained at least 2 pounds by that one indulgence and it takes me forever to lose 2 pounds. I am going to try to get back on track today.

Some of the weight gain that comes with overindulging the sweets is water retention. Getting off the non-legal stuff plus adding a little exercise and decreasing the salt will help flush the water retention and drop those added pounds quicker.

thanks for the tip. I am going to try to just eat fruit and soup today and drink lots - tomorrow is my weigh in day and I am so fearful that I have gained.

I made the roasted garlic and butternut squash soup today. Very interesting flavor - I think I like it?? No one else will eat it so I am going to try harder to like it.

When I make this soup I add extra minced garlic and spices.  It also freezes very well for eating later.

Well after a week off LDL and gaining 3 pounds, I am back! Determined to get through the holidays without gaining!
Today
Breakfast: refried beans with 2 eggs
lunch: apple, orange
dinner: will probably have to skip - working late
Not sure if this will work since I will be starving but since I overate yesterday, maybe I will still be full all day.

Everyday you are on plan is another day of not gaining. Even when you cannot do LDL pure, you know what are the best choices. Stay with LDL approved foods and you will eventually be so much in the habit of eating those foods it will come natural. If the weight loss is slower, it is still reshaping your body and you are getting healthy.

Thanks Linda for the words of advice. I blew it already today. I had pumpkin pie in the refridgerator and couldn't deny myself.  I have to start from scratch to get rid of the cravings. Unfortunately the fruit is too expensive now and not even that good. Please pray that I get back on track!

Go with the frozen fruit and make your own "pie" or desert by cooking fruit with banana for creaminess.
Try the Pumpkin and black bean soup

One of my favorite pies calls for frozen mixed fruit ( I buy at costco) and a can of tart cherries in water.  It is one of those dishes that is so satisfying and goes a long ways.  Last year I made crustless pumpkin pie with the sugar free vanilla pudding and added pumpkin and spices.  It was delicious and guilt free

Sounds great! For the fruit pies, do you just put in pan without a crust?  I did really bad yesterday but plan on doing good today.  I can't believe how hard it is to get back on track once you go off.

Probably best to use a glass pie dish. When I first started LDL I did the blueberry pie on the boards in a glass bowl and nuked it. I have decided not to use the microwave anymore so I put the mixture in a poceline-lined, non-stick skillet and heat it on the stove. I think Wendy bakes hers and even puts a merange on to.

Some of my pies I bake in the oven in individual dishes and some in a pie pan.  The Very berry pie I cook totally on top of the stove and then refrigerate what I dont eat.

Breakfast: refried beans & 2 eggs, Apple
Lunch: My son and I made up a wonderful meal - we named in J & M Chicken Slaw. I panfried a bag of coleslaw and put in chicken, kidney beans, lemon juice, honey dijon mustard, garlic, basil, 1 chicken bouillon cube and 3/4 cup water and put crumbled cooked turkey bacon on top.  I took my serving out before I put the bacon - the kids actually loved this!
Dinner: Since I was feeding the kids breakfast for dinner I decided to try the popcorn flour pancakes - I did not put in the splenda and I used club soda instead of milk (We always do this in our regular pancakes to make fizzy pancakes). It was delicious! I topped it with sugar free blueberry syrup.
Fruit smoothie
Had a hungry day today but made it through!!
