Re: Jennie's Journal
CQ,
Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, she is very anti-fish and has no allergies to my knowledge. I never heard of Krill Oil - Where do you find it? She can't swallow pills. I am not very up on supplements. I wonder if there is omega 3 supplement in liquid form?

Liquid Krill oil isn't sold to the public via stores or the internet because it needs proper refrigeration, otherwise, it's highly unstable. However, they do sell liquid fish oil. I've seen a few that even have a lemon taste.

Re: Jennie's Journal
Yesterday I sent DH for my Chipotle bowl. Well it came to me with rice - I ate it anyway because I was hungry and didn't want to waste it. I realized that I don't miss rice at all. Actually I have never been a real lover of bread, rice or noodles. My downfall has always been sweets and ice cream and that is what I crave all the time. I gained a pound eating the rice
Today
Breakfast: refried beans, eggs
lunch: fruit
dinner: eating out - might try the sweet potato with just cinnamon, salad

Re: Jennie's Journal
jencita,
If you're worried about wasting food such as rice...then you might want to do what I do when I order Chinese....save it for DH. My husband's not doing LDL completely and loves rice with his fried eggs for breakfast. That way I don't cheat and he's happy until he makes the decision to do LDL 100%.

Re: Jennie's Journal
CQ...I am severely allergic to shrimp, probably the iodine, but I noticed you said not to take the Krill Omega 3. I bought a bottle and I was just a few days away from starting it..(been finishing up my other Omega 3's) I'm so glad I saw your post. Can you tell my why I shouldn't take it? I would absolutely hate to have an allergic reaction to it. Lisa

Re: Jennie's Journal
Irainbow2006,
Krill oil comes from Krill...a crustacean very similar to shrimp. That's why you want to avoid Krill oil if you're allergic to shellfish/iodine.
The following website tells about them.

Thanks CQ...
You would think there would be some kind of warning on the bottle (unless I just missed it). I had no idea Krill were a type of shellfish...that could've been an unpleasant experience at the very least. Lisa

Re: Jennie's Journal
Thanks for the information CQ!
Still tempted to go off everyday. I did okay yesterday for the most part but ended up going to a different restaurant and got chinese food which I know is not the best. Just got the kids shamrock shakes at McD's - oh so hard to resist but I resisted.
Breakfast: banana
lunch: chipotle leftovers
dinner: apple, salad
snack: popcorn if still hungry

Re: Jennie's Journal
Jencita, sorry you are having such a hard time. It didn't come easy for me either and still isn't. But you just have to want to loose it more than keeping that fat on. I know that's easy said, but it does take work with a lot of us. Some seem to have it eaiser. Just keep on giving yourself a pep talk and you will get through it. Good Luck!

Re: Jennie's Journal
Jencita, hang in there! If you hadn't been trying LDL you wouldn't be where you are today, that is losing the weight you have, maintaining and working to lose more. I didn't even mention the improved health and that you are leading others to improve their lives as well. So from this view it is all good!

Re: Jennie's Journal
Jencita, just keep on no matter what and you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am pulling for you. What helped me a lot was when I got hungery was go to the boards and read others success stories. I am still not at goal and I started Jan 2nd 2010. Cameron my good friend started the same time. and we did not even know each other. We have supported each other. That has been a great help to me. You will make it no doubt.

Re: Jennie's Journal
Thanks Cameron! I did very good yesterday! Worst snow storm ever today - Thank God I don't have to drive into work on Fridays!
The kids have a snow day today so I think I will make some new recipes today with the kids. So my plan might change
breakfast: grapefruit
lunch: soup - hopefully a new recipe
dinner: something new, fruit
