I am 48 years old. I have lived in Ga. most of my life. I am cool with temps down to freezing. I'm even cool with snow once in awhile. I am NOT okay with these temps in the teens and the windchill near zero at night! I have decided I am delicate. I'm tired of being cold!!!!!

LP, I agree 100%. I live in South Louisiana and we rarely have cold weather and it can even be on the hot side for Christmas. We are having colder weather than usual right now too. I know it is nothing compared to up north with the snow and all, though. Sometimes our cold and hot are worse than the temperature, though, because of the humidity. High humidity just makes hot - hotter and cold - colder!
For now, I'm staying inside. Although, today I did go outside for a moment and the sun was shining, so that was nice. It is the wind that has made it much colder feeling too. Stay warm!
crickadoodle you hit the nail on the head. I can definately handle the cold air alot better when the wind isn't whipping around so badly like it is now. I don't know if I could survive up north!
Blessed and loved, LP

In Montana we are having very unusual weather with sunshine and temps in the 40s. It is raining somedays and then turning just cold enough at night to turn everything into ice. I have really decided I don't like the real cold below zero weather any longer and would like to live in a warmer place. But then if we can have a winter just like what we are having now I would be very happy.

Well we just dug out from the major snowfall in MN.I'm not really sure of the amounts, but I think where we are we had about 12-14 inches, today it was 4 degrees ,There is so much snow on our deck I wish I knew how to do pictures,I would post one.One good thing there's only 3&1/2 months left of this stuff, lol! Hugzzzz Rodie
Oh Rodie I have been seeing your area on the news. Our area had the same weather a few years ago and roofs were caving in and it was a mess trying to decide where to keep putting all the shoveled snow.
I live in Sunny Southern California, never gets real cold, but when it does get on the cold side, I can't stand it. I freeze. What is my life saver is my electric blanket. I turn it on about 30 minutes before I go to bed.
It's so cold here. School was out today. It may be on a delay tomorrow. Yesterday, we attended a Gaither Christmas Concert in Huntington. It was soo good, but We about froze walking to it. The wind makes it feel much colder. I attended the senior dinner this evening, and the roads were beginning to refreeze. Stay in, stay warm. JF
Only good thing about cold weather is a warm fire and a big bowl of LDL soup! Most of the mess y'all are having, missed us completely. For that, I will be eternally greatful. Don't need a repeat Christmas Eve Blizzard like last year.

Freezing cold here, too. It was 9 this morning with a wind chill of 6 below! The schools were closed and the roads treacherous! Only had 4-5" of snow, but it is still blowing around as the winds are 25mph! Yuck. Thankfully, I didn't have to go out, although our 4 grandchildren came for sledding and dinner. At their ages (8,8,8,9) they think snow is wonderful. This is our first measurable snowfall, but I've had enough already. It does look a lot like Christmas. Pam
It was 33 below this morning......put the kids in snow clothes and sent them off to school.......unplugged the va and went off to town to visit mom and shop........had a Christmas concert at school tonight.......never did reach zero!
If thou shalt confess with your mouth the L-rd Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that G-d hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Roman's 10:9-10
I'm in central FL, and I am loving this weather! It was 26 here this morning. We always go to the mountains looking for snow right after Christmas! Getting excited about our trip to Grandfather Mountain, Dec 26th.
Oh, Grace, you just take it all in stride because it is something you've experienced often. Love your attitude!
I'm eating some butternut squash with roasted garlic soup. Well, that has to be one of the best tasting soups of all! That's got me warm inside and out!
I woke up this morning with about 5 inches of snow on the ground and it is still snowing - though not hard. We have a winter storm advisory until about 11 a.m. 30 degrees right now. I'm in north-central Utah - further north it is probably a lot worse. Have a great Wednesday everyone.
Oh, what I call cold is nothing like what you guys up north call cold! I know I really have nothing to complain about. Actually it's more like the 40s here. It just feels so cold to me -- probably because I'm used to 70s, 80s, and 90s!
Oh, I know 30 degrees is not all that cold. Just enough for the snow to stay for a little while. I cannot even fathom -33 degrees! My old bones just don't like the cold any more. Even my 30 degrees is causing pain. Thank heavens we have modern heaters and such that help us keep somewhat comfortable!
I am enjoying the delay. It hit 74 here today. But cold front supposed to come through in an hour or so.
