So Excited!

Post by Deeh »

Well I have been doing LDL now for about a week and I have to say I am so excited! I know Roger says not to get on a scale for the first month but I just couldn't help myself. This morning I stepped on and I was down 6 lbs. I have tried everything since I had my daughter 6 yrs ago and nothing has worked for me. I have to say this does work for me and I feel so good doing it. I actually came home from work last night not feeling like the walking dead! LOL
I am so glad I bought Roger's book and decided to do this.

Welcome Deeh. I know what you mean. I think reading the First article has been the best thing healthwise that has happened to me in a long time. I find this WOE very easy so far.

Good luck on your journey

what you lose to start with is mostly water weight which can fluctuate.......the more fluid someone retains, the more they lose with the absence of unhealthy carbs....
i lost that initial amount the first time i went on let's do lunch...then, i went 2 months twice without losing anything.....i found a pair of pants that were tight on me and didn't weigh myself until they fit me...and that was 2 months.....
i mean, that's great that you lost 6 pounds in a week, but i caution you not to set yourself up for failure by weighing yourself ANY more often than monthly.....

Nikki,
I completely understand about the water retention it was just nice to see that I was retaining so much. LOL
What was even nicer was that yesterday I went to an all day meeting where everyone ate lunch together. It was a great lunch but one of the people at our table went and brought back desserts for everyone and sat them right infront of me! Brownies & cookies! Yes, they looked good but I didn't even have the urge to pick one up. That was really the nice part about yesterday. :D
I do have a pair of those jeans that I would like to get into maybe I will just stick to trying them on each week instead of weighing myself.
Thanks

This idea of trying on clothes is a great one.  I bet (ha ha!) that I might be able to find some smallish clothes to keep track of my shrinking body.
