Fun Shopping Trip

I know there are so many newbies that like to hear from people that have been on the plan for a while so I wanted to share my shopping experience today.  For the first time since December, I went shopping for clothes and enjoyed myself.  I've held off buying new pants because I've had a closet full of clothes in all size ranges so I've just been "finding" things to wear since I've been losing weight.  But, for the first time since I started LDL, I went shopping today and bought size 12 pants.....I am so happy to be back in regular sizes.  Before I started LDL, I was wearing plus-size clothing and honestly just hated to shop.  Praise God and thank you Roger....I can't imagine ever eating any other way.  And, just so you know, I don't do a lot of cooking and experimenting and the plan has worked wonderfully for me.  I have not had this level of success ever and I am a life-time yo-yo dieter!  I have found my solution to finally break the cycle and plan to stay on the train to Skinnytown.

Wearing a size 12 pants has to be a wonderful feeling.  I hope you bought some really pretty clothes and enjoy wearing them.

Way to go!!! I was the XL/plus as well and I can button 12's--but not wear them.  So how does it feel to wear 12"s? Do you just stand in front of the mirror and admire yourself? How small do you thing we'll go?

I'll be thrilled if I get to a size 8.  I have gotten as small as a 4 in my lifetime, but it just wasn't natural for me.  I'll be tickled pink if I can get to an 8 and stay there!  My scale hasn't moved but a few pounds in the last couple of months, but every time I put on something I haven't worn in a couple of weeks, it is baggy.  I've even been checking my tags to check to make sure I have picked up what I thought I did in my closet - ha!  And, for you, those 12s will be buttoning before you know it and then falling off of you!  Don't you just love this WOE.

Wow... I saw the words "fun" and "shopping trip" grouped together and thought that I was about to fall over backwards! I'm so glad you can fit into those 12's  and hopefully will be there someday myself! I've already been able to wear a few pairs of pants that didn't fit before starting the program, and I know how great it must feel!

congratulations, for shopping to be fun, I can't remember when, its a good thing dh likes to shop or I'd never go.
