Happy to hear your yard sale was doing well and I know how tiring it can be.  I hope you got rid of a lot of stuff. Last fall me and my DH had to combine two houses full of furniture so I did a major cleaning out of every nook and crannie in the house we live in (including the garage).  We collected a lot of cash and what we didn't sell was donated to Goodwill and the Salvation Army.  So good to have my house in order!

P.S.  It has been hot and humid (high 90's) for the last week here in New Hampshire and I am melting!  With no air conditioning in our house I don't get much done inside or outside.  Spend most of the day reading or watching HGTV with the fan blowing on me.  My poor little puppy is really suffering, but she is a trooper and just lays around with me.

I'm redecorating my kitchen today. I took 9 wal-mart bags of food to the soup kitchen. They wanted to know who sponsored the food drive. I replaced the no-no's with a bunch of yes-yes's.

We finished up with the yard sale today.  I got to say this is the best one we have ever done, lots of work but worth it.  After we finished this afternoon one of the ladies who participated was having a birthday.  So we BBQed and had cake and ice cream ( not me).  Long day but alot of fun!
Miss Donna
your comment about the food bank made me laugh.  When we cleaned out our house I had been obsessed about having enough food so our basement looked like a small grocery store.  We took large black garbage bags and boxes to the food bank.  I was almost embarrased by the amount of food I had aquired thru sales and just not knowing what I had stored.  Thanks for the good laugh at the end of my day!

I am almost out of Olive Oil so I substituted EVCO in the Roasted Garlic Butternut Squash Soup.  Not a good choice, it is too overpowering in taste for such a mild soup.  Will have to get more OO before making this again.

When I was in Missoula today I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and got the new Pro Ninja.  It comes with three different containers now and has three blades instead of two.  I bought it for my son and his to be wife for their wedding gift.  I am praying over it that they will use it to make healthy food and want to lose weight after their honey moon.

Wed:

B:  Very Berry Pie ( finished it off)
L:  Cracker Barrel Grilled Chicken
    Dinner Salad
    Pinto Beans
    Corn
D:  Wild Berry Smoothie
    Apple
    Plums

Hi Wendy, what is the difference between the ninja, and a regular blender?

My regular blender bogs down when trying to make ice cream or smoothies.  I have to keep turning on and off to keep it moving and keep stirring.  The Ninja even with 2 blades like mine goes thru the frozen fruit wonderfully and even ice.  It comes with a motor you transfer from container to container.  So it also works as a food processor and a shaved ice machine.
There is probably more benefits also but I can't think of them right now.
