Re: Trying again,,,,,,3rd times a charm........wish me luck
Barb, so glad you're back. This is the first woe to lose weight that has been satisfying to my daughter and I. We have been on it over a year. I am at goal, but will always eat like this in the majority. My daughter has lost slower, but lost a whole bunch of sizes. She eats her protein meat meal of the evening. Eat all you want when you want to eat. That is a hard concept for people to grasp, because we are taught to look at portion size or points. I love to feel satisfied, so fix a whole lot of the recipes on the boards and in the book. You can do it without deprivation.

Re: Trying again,,,,,,3rd times a charm........wish me luck
Well had to post this before I go to bed. The Fish/Deer Fry went great. I did not eat the potatoe salad, or chips, or chocolate cake. I did eat a piece of fish, 2 pieces of deer and my LDL bean dish I made. I drank water and had a great time visiting. and best of all, I was not craving anything. I know its only been a week but I am starting to feel better. Went shopping today and bought more fresh strawberries, grapes, celery, lettuce, yellow, red, green peppers, ground turkey and a whole turkey breast that we will unthaw then grind and price compare. Will cook more dry beans tomorrow, just not sure which kind, I think we have about every kind sold in our small town. My DH likes them also so we will probably always have them cooked. Again thanks for your support, you guys are always in the back of my mind saying you can do this and I can read on this board and know it works.
Sleep tight to the rest of you.

Linda you are so right. Ate an apple and grapes on the way to church. Lunch was a large salad with cucumber, radishes, and baked chicken on top with Newman's dressing (dipped fork). Absolutely satisfied. I love to cook and bake and it was my youngest's son's birthday and his favorite is homade apple pie. So made 2 homade apple pies and 2 pecan pies my oldest son's favorite, complete with homade crusts. Delivered them made everyone happy and I did not crave one piece. Amazing. Middle of afternoon got a little (not hungry just wanted to munch) so made pop corn sprayed with olive oil. Took care of that. For dinner just made a smoothie with 100% juice, a banana and fresh strawberries. Done for the day. Now looking at the Ninja blender. Have a great week everyone.

Well I did it. I bought a Ninja Blender. I love it. Came home last pm and made a smoothie. It was very good. Today had a dental appt, so made beans, apple, and a little 100 % juice smoothie. Tasted ok, but ate very little of it, my jaw was sore. Tonight had turkey burger with 1 slice Borden cheese(LDL kind if you have to have cheese) and califlower plain, and a few spoons of beans. Everything was soft to chew and good. Bought a bag of frozen peaches/pineapple/mango/ mixed to make more smoothie. Loss of 3.6 pounds so far and its been easy. Thanks everyone and let me know if you have a Ninja, what you make in yours.
Thanks
Barb
Thanks

I make banana ice cream in my Ninja. That is bananas that I freeze -- peeled of course -- and then I just put chunks of frozen banana in the Ninja and pulse it. When done, it is as creamy as ice cream. Amazing! You can add other fruit to it, like a couple of non frozen strawberries -- and it is easier to pulse it and have it mix up well. It moves a bit easier that way. I usually have to push it down some with a spatula.

In addition to making awesome smoothies, I also use the ninja to chop onions tomatoes for dishes and puree pintos for the wonderfully delicious Pizza Soup. It also makes great butterbean/cauliflower mashed potatoes.

Barb you are doing great! Looks like you have dicovered one of the secrets which is to eat the foods you really enjoy eating. When you are full of those foods you don't crave the ones that aren't good for you.
Congratulations on a great start!

Re: Trying again,,,,,,3rd times a charm........wish me luck
Today was a good day. Made a smoothie out of 2 cups frozen mixed fruit, 1/4 cup 100% plus 1/4 cup water. Stuck in the freezer till I left work, then put it in the freezer at work, ate it about 8:30am. It was very good. For lunch had a turkey burger, califlower, and beans. Drank water, was stuffed. Dinner was some left over LDL chicken soup, did not have much chicken in it so I pureed it in my Ninja, and heated it up. Ate 1/2 of turkey burger. Then popcorn. Stuffed again. Its getting easier. Did not eat any sweet rolls one of the guys in my office brought in. Thats a first for me. Can't wait to weight again. Thanks again everyone, well bye for now I'm going board lurking

cuzican -- maybe you didn't leave a space before or after the face. I found out that early on using the emoticons, you need to make sure there are spaces on each side.

Good morning everyoneToday is beautiful here in Mo. Lots of projects today, including power washing our bird cage, bringing in bulbs blowing leaves etc. Breakfast was LDL chili with egg white cooked and slice of LDL cheese. Good start, hopefully rest of day goes as well, but I think it will. Was reading in the LDL book again this morning, what inspiration. Down 5 lbs. this morning but actual weight will be on Monday. Feel better already. God is good.
Will check in later.

Doing well. Had a few slip ups, my own fault, but not huge ones. Am enjoying my smoothies, they do grow on you as I am not an ice cream fan. Made one today OJ 1 cup and frozen fruit =peaches strawberries melon etc. Have cut up my banana's and put in freezer. Want to make more soup this week end. Will check in later.

Hello to all
Well Thanksgiving and Christmas has come and gone. Not the best of days for eating but not the worst either. I have not been on the boards because of my busy days with work and grand kids. I am back on track now and looking forward to the inspiration that everyone gives. This has to be the best site ever. Just wanted to say Thank you and God Bless.
