Ollie, you are going to make goal in 2010, I do believe. If not, you can do it in 2011. Just think, then you can enjoy food, and never worry about gaining it back because of LDL. I'm so proud of how you have done. You're a great encourager.

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
Well, since Kathie is my best bud, I guess I should follow suit. Evey since before Thanksgiving with the problems at church, with trying to take care of sister with all her broken bones, a borther coming to visit after 8 years and decidng to retire my life has been one big ball of stress, so y'all pray hard for me, I have a date and it is 1-1-2011 I have to do this, just in this short time I have gained back 12 # That is awful, but I am one that needs structure and LDL is my structure and I love it so that part will be easy Merry Christmas I love all of ya Hugs Karen

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
Well, I am happy that I at least maintained the 1 lb I gained last week at 179and did not gain more Christmas.
It's getting warmer this week and I am off so plan to do some rebounding on the trampoline and push the scales down more next week.
Here's to making goal this year!

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
Snoopy is back! It has been a busy few months and a lot has happened. I did have a bit of a set back but I am re-fired and ready to complete my weight loss journey.
I look forward to reading all the pages that I have missed. I am caught up in all my other threads. I might just start a new tread or two. I see that we have some who are very close to their goals. Congrats to you.

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
Well, I did exactly what Crick said NOT to do! I munched on leftovers all week. Up another lb to 180 but back on board now and determined to get to goal this year. I got me some motivation today. I figured I could probably fit into size 14 jeans since my 16 pants are really big but that is not where I want to be so I bought a pair of size 12s. I got them on but the zipper and button won't go together. So I will be trying them on regularly until they are too loose!
I was in a rush to grab something for lunch. Got some Christmas Turkey out of the freezer & a can of green beans. When I got ready to heat it up, I noticed a bottle of Braggs Ginger and Sesame salad dressing. I poured a little over the beans and turkey and ohhhh it was so good. I believe you could put some of that on any meat or veggie and satisfy and craving for Chinese. I am going to take a bottle of my Coconut Sauce to keep there too. Just no excuse now to eat out at lunch. There are lots of quick and easy LDL lunches to take and eat on the go! Take advantage of the recipes. Tomorrow I am going to take a can of pumpkin and some black beans and veggies and throw a soup together.

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
Linda, thanks for taking the time and always sharing! I love to see your food ideas and recipes but most of all how you are determined and push forward.
I have a size 12 that I keep trying on too! We'll get there together.
Some LDL observations: Over the holidays I ate LDL and others foods. I was surprised that I no longer wanted the same foods that were a habit or tradition to make every Christmas. I did not desire them, make them or eat them. I did indulge in some foods that are not LDL but with much smaller portions and again surprised that I only wanted a little bit. Most were too sweet for me now and I did not go into the feeding frenzy I previously would have done before LDL. I ate my homemade bread and was so tired and sleepy that I did not want to eat this again and feel this way. You know how we are, I did it a couple of times just to make sure and every single time like clockwork you would have thought I took a sleeping pill. I did not want to get on the scales because I knew surely I would be up about 5 pounds which is what I normally would do. Again to my surprise and amazement I was down another pound. After reading some of the post of others that have been so successful with LDL and staying strict with LDL until they met their goal I am staying true to LDL and myself and not going off once a week like I have been since beginning LDL. January 8th is 4 months for me and I am down 20 pounds and that my friends is being hypothyroid, not hungry and eating lots of LDL food. It really works. Unbelievable!
I haven't had time to respond to so many of you and greatly appreciate your efforts to share. Prayers do go out for all of you. Here's to much success, health, happiness, love and doing God's will for 2011. Thanks RT for putting yourself out there! Love LDL and all of you!

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
I weighed in yesterday and for the new year I will be starting at 180. Which is one pound less from the trip down to LA. I am very proud of my self with a one pound loss. Out of four days, there were 2 pizza meals, sea food restaurant, turkey sandwich, honey ham sandwich, Mexican restaurant, and much nuts, candy, cookies and bread. I chose well. With the sandwiches I ate just the meat with no bread and left the chips alone. Mexican night was easy with a sizzling platter of steak, shrimp, veggies with beans. I left the rice and tortilla off my plate and didn't eat any chips. The pizza was tough, but I asked them to order a salad. the only problem was the salad was for one and everyone had some. So I had one slice of pizza. All in all you can make good decisions and still feel good about eating in a group with out sticking out. No one knew that I was eating differently except my DH.
