Jumping right in.....

Post by knighte »

1/1/11 Okay I decided to be accountable to myself and start posting what I have consumed for the day. I have not done very well with sticking to the plan consistently and I am hoping this will help me.

B- strawberry/banana/pineapple smoothie
L- 4 corn thins with 1/3 less fat cream cheese, chicken and a sprinkling of cheese on top, raw carrots
D- strawberry/banana/pineapple smoothie and LDL bean soup

snacks: am- 2 corn thins with 1/3 less fat cream cheese and salsa, 1 cutie
          pm- frozen grapes
planned evening snack (as needed)- frozen grapes or air popped popcorn
fluids: 60oz of water, 3 cups of coffee
exercise: zumba on wii

Cuties are easy peel, seedless mandarin oranges.
Very sweet and tasty. A quick and easy snack!

Knighte,

Your lunches looks a little skimpy to me so I hope you are not starving yourself.  Sometimes we fall back into our old diet habits thinking the less we eat, the more we lose.  That is not the case with LDL.  By eating until full/stuffed of fruit, heavy protein, etc. you get rid of you cravings and feel so full at each meal that it is never a battle to try and not eat between meals.  But, you still can eat between meals too if you are hungry -- just make sure it's LDL food.  Also, by eating until full your body thinks it needs to keep burning off those pounds.  Not eating enough makes the body think it is in starvation mode and refuses to give up those nasty pounds in order to feed itself.  Remember too that you can eat between meals as long as it's LDL food.  I ate a lot of fruit, popcorn and bean soup between meals when I first started and consistently lost weight each week.

LP... Here in New Hampshire a cutie is called a Clementine.

Hi Vickilynn,

Thanks for the answers y'all.  I'll have to look and see if we have them at the store.  The only time I really remember seeing Clementines is at Christmas.  It'll be funny if it's something that's been there the whole time.  Kinda like the jicama I walked past and thought "ewwww that looks nasty"   Little did I know how yummy they really were!

I hope you feel better today knighte.

Blessed and loved,

Happy to hear you are not starving yourself.  I hope you are feeling better today. Well, it's supper time and I'm eating a big bowl of popcorn while typing my response here.  Off to eat a Clementine after I finish my popcorn.  Bye for now.

Before LDL, I had never eaten (or even seen) jicama, never eaten black beans, never eaten spaghetti squash or butternut squash.
So many new and healthy foods introduced here! I will join Julie in saying LovinLDL!

Ollie,

I just got it for Christmas and have done it twice on the beginners level. It is a great workout and the time goes very fast. So far it is a fun workout, which is great because I am not a fan of cardio workouts. I think you will like it...tell me how it goes.  :D

knighte - looks like you are doing good with your menu's.  You will find that when you have to write down what you are eating you may not want to eat that non LDL food.  Plus you will find a big support group here.
