Newcomer with an idea of how it might work!

Post by jacksprattswife »

Hi!

I am a newcomer to Lets Do Lunch , but have just come off a low carb diet wihich was suicessful for me for about a year, but ultimately became boring. I lost 20lbs but gained 5 lbs back over the holdiays.

I came across Lets Do Lunch in my closet but can't remember buying it!  I must have though because I had underlined things and hilighted parts of it.

This is how I think LDL might work for me:

Breakfast would be fresh fruit and yogort (parfait style)

Lunch would be leftovers from what I cooked for my husband for dinner the night before.  Healthy protein, veggies etc.

Dinner would be healthy soup and salad

Evening cravings would be the frozen grapes if necc.

Does this sound OK?

Welcome on board the train to skinnytown.
Reread chapters 2-6 which is the back bone to the program.
I would watch the yogart but the fruit for breakfast is good.  Look into the receipe section for great ideas.  I like the blueberry pie for breakfast.  It is really nice when you want something hot in the morning.  The rest of the day looks okay.  Go to Amazon.com and get some corn thins they are a good replacement for bread.  I like mine with refried beans on top.  Popcorn is also a good snack.  Just keep posting your thread and there will be others here to help you.  Again welcome

If you need something to hold the fruit to you in the morning, try some of the smoothies using white beans. You won't taste them.
Commercial, store-bought yogurt is not very healthy and most is loaded with sugar.
If you feel you cannot do this without the yogurt, unsweetened Greek Yogurt is a better choice.
In reality, unpasturized, unhomogenized yogurt straight from the farm is the healthiest, but unless you live next to an organic dairy farmer, you will have a time finding any fresh dairy!
