Re: A bit worried!
I have been on this WOE for 15 months. I can honestly say I've never been bored with the food I've eaten. It's all so delicious. There are so many wonderful recipes to try.
People who are "jumping off the wagon quite a bit" are just fooling themselves and will not be successful at losing the weight and if they do lose the weight it will come right back because they haven't changed their bad eating habits.
I luv LDL and plan to eat this way for the rest of my life!! Thank you Lord for this wonderful way of eating!!

Re: A bit worried!
Down 2 more lbs today! I am hypothyroid and always had to really suffer to lose weight. Not however with LDL! My family has a problem with our stomachs and this is the worse kind of fat that effects ones health in the worst way. My stomach as well as the rest of me is slimming down and I haven't had time to exercise although have been very active for some time now. (I can't wait to get back in to exercising and will begin today.) This smaller size would never had happened if I wasn't exercising 1 1/2 hours a day and eating low carb previously and it was such a battle and I felt horrible! LDL is my way of life and will always be. I have never found anything that evens out my insulin problems. I would always have times where I had to eat or feel like I was getting sick and lightheaded. LDL took all of this away. I always said I wished I had something that kept me from getting a sick stomach and needing to immediately eat. Well, that is what LDL has done for me. Thank you Roger!
Most people, okay all of us, want a quick fix with a magic pill and immediate results. LDL is the magic pill that works for all! Eat, Eat and Eat some more and get on with life and before you know it you are the incredible shrinking person and one that feels great!
My DH said if I only fed him a lean protein and more corn, peas and beans he couldn't do it anymore. I read these forums and am trying the different recipes and love, love them. We don't like eating out anymore because we know what great LDL foods we get at home. Some of my favorites so far are,
You know you have really changed when you spend more time in the produce section of the Grocery store and are excited about the food you can make with what you see. This has never happened before to me but it does now!

Re: A bit worried!
Oh, I remember when I was new to LdL -- I loved looking at my shopping cart with all the colorful fruits and veggies. I think I was feeling a little smug sometimes when I compared my basket to others.
Also, I'd want to hide any bad stuff I was buying for my step son when he is at our house. (You can't force a teen to do anything -- even if (or especially if) it is good for them!) I just wonder what people are thinking if there are chips in the middle of all my healthy food. I wanted to explain -- that isn't going into my body!

I went to Sam's yesterday and my cart was filled with fruit, veggies and meat -- oh, and one shirt I liked. Boy, Sam's has so much bad stuff, though. I see so many people with small children buying these big barrels of those orange cheese puff things. So not good for them. You just have to look at that fake orange color to know it isn't good.
If they want orange -- buy oranges. I'll bet the kids would love orange slices -- or all the other colors of real food out there.

Mylifeforhim! I am so happy for you. I just wanted to tell you that I have tried all the recipes you listed except the cauliflower fries and love them all. I just tried the unstuffed cabbage (I doubled the recipe and it's enough for 3-4 days for the two of us). My husband likes it so much he wants me to make it again next week!!! I don't think I'll ever steam cabbage leaves and use them to wrap csbbage rolls ever again. This is every bit as good and so much easier. Love it, love it

Re: A bit worried!
Thank you so much, Pam! Reading your posts has really encouraged me throughout this time. I really appreciate it!
Congrats to you, too!
My husband is already requesting the unstuffed cabbage that we finished last weekend. We eat a whole head of cauliflower between the two of us it is so good. I print each recipe, try it, add any changes and put it in a clear sheet protector in my new LDL cookbook I have set up.
Congrats to you, too! -

MLFH, Your recipe list looks like mine. I made the Sweetcorn chowder today. It is a keeper---so easy to do and delicious. I have no wish to jump off this way of eating. The cabbage has also been a favorite of ours. I need to do that with my recipes, a great idea.
Crick, I agree with how much junk people buy for their kids. Oranges have to be pealed.

Congratulations, Ollie! Only 3 more lbs to goal!
I love your quote under your weight ticker, oh so true! I don't know how people can make it in this life without God, I know I can't!
JF, thank you and most of all for all of your contributions!

You have done what I did when I started my LDL cookbook in July 2009. Now my 2-inch ring binder is so full (mostly main dish, soup, and salad recipes) that I need to buy a bigger one. And, all the recipes that I have accumulated are ones that I have made and will make again over an over because they are sooooooooooo delicious.

Re: A bit worried!
I copy and paste recipes into a Word document, then save to a folder I named "LDL Recipes" on my desktop.
That way I can copy and paste them into an Email and send to friends who may want them.

Re: A bit worried!
VickiLynn, I would love to see your LDL Cookbook! You are way ahead of me. It makes it so much easier when deciding what to prepare.
Linda RN, excellent idea! I was putting my recipes in one big document and it was getting difficult when keeping it organized. I will try as you have done. Thanks!
