Clown Lady AKA Donna started this thread cuz she liked hanging out in the caboose on the train to Skinnytown.
She wants to make goal and turn the caboose loose and finally put down roots in Skinnytown.

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
YOU GOT IT, ELJAYNE!
This week was not a great week for me. Funeral on Wed...stopped at Braums on the way, Pediatric Advanced Life Support on Thurs and Friday....STRESS......soooo I had 2 days of crispy chicken tenders (was bad and ate the breading!) and 2 days of having a Braum's breakfast fruit and yogurt swirl.....

Result: up 2 lbs!!!
Gotta do better this week!

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
Hey am I the only one left nervy enough to post my weights?
I know Clown Lady is on a cruise and Wendy was having computer problems but where is everyone else???
This caboose needs a shove.
I did better this week and lost 1 of the 2 lbs I gained, putting me back at 178. Gotta get to the 176 mark so that I'm not lying when I tell people I've lost 50lbs!

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
I knew that I would not do well at daily journaling so the weekly weigh-in challenge is what keeps me accountable and focused.
Any lurkers want to join in?

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
Kind of like Weight Watchers weekly weigh in's. I like that idea. I also like to read the food journals to give me ideas about what to eat (something different), the boards are great also for the receipe. So what day of the week is the official weight in? I will think about this, I just feel so bad at what I now weigh. Cleaning out some old old files this past month I ran across my Weight Watcher books when I must have been in my early 30's. I weighted 127 # and thought that was heavy. What a hoot.....
Now 30 years later I can just dream about being even close to that weight again.
Thanks for all the support.

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
I did weigh myself...cause I was curious and was down 3 lbs
. However, I checked the next morning and was back up 2 lbs
. I will wait until the month is out to change my ticker. Monthly weigh ins are much better for me, so I will check back in a month (2/12).

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
My weight fluctuates daily also but I don't want to go more than a week finding out I may be pushing it up. Want to evaluate how what I am eating is affecting my wieght and make corrections. I think reporting changes in clothing size like RatherBe Kiaking does is sounding a little better than weighing. However you want to do it, sharing your successes and "pitfalls" helps and encourages others. So join in....whatever way you want. Originally the weigh in day was Monday to get a grip on how the weekend wend and to set determination for the rest of the week. But some weighed on Sunday and others weighed other days of the week.

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
fOR me I find that weighting everyday lets me know what I can do and can't. So I am in control at all times. But others like to weight once a month and that is ok. The main thing is to get it off which ever is best for you. So happy weighing ladies keep dropping those lbs.

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
I was weighing everyday, but now I weigh on Mondays and any other day I am feeling skinny!
It gives me a boost to see the numbers going down! Sometimes I am back up by Monday, but I know that the lowest number is doable and I focus there.

Yahoo! You did it -- so proud of you. Keep on keeping LDL and those next 56 pounds will surely find their way off your soon-to-be slim body.

First of all.....CONGRATULATIONS LINDA!!!! I'm so happy for you!!
Second....I have not been reporting in here because I've been on a plateau for the last five weeks. Every week I would get on the scales and it would say 143. 3 days ago I got on and it said 142. This morning it says 141!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!! I broke the plateau!! I never want to see 143 again!!!

Re: THE RACE ON THE LOOSE CABOOSE
Ollie,
Way to go girl! Just goes to show us that plateau's can be broken if one is patient. Our body adjusts everyday to what we feed it -- sometimes in inches lost or it redistributes the pounds already lost. And sometime we have to eat more to trick our body into believeing that it needs to shed more pounds to lose the increased calories you have eaten.
