Starting Back

Hello all. I hope its a wonderful morning for you all. I am wanting to get back on the track again and get to my goal this year. I fell off a bit while taking care of my Mom or at least using that as an excuse for now. She has passed and I do want to thank you all for all the support, prayers and condolences. She is in a much better place now. I would like to share one little story with you tho.  I had asked Mom to please send me a sign of some sort that she had made it to that beautiful place.  After her passing, one of the evenings of driving back home, I looked to the sky.  I saw this beautiful Swan. She was very distinct including her wings which was made by the darker clouds. I asked my husband to look up and see if he could see the Swan in the sky. He also could see it and also remarked that it was all so clear.  Since my Moms last name was Swan, I knew this was her sign that all is ok and she is just fine. I cannot explain how that made me feel. 
I have to go back to work today, Sat. This starts my week of accountability.  So I will try to make a little place for me again on the boards so you and I both can keep track of my progress, if you don't mind.

That is a beautiful story. I am sorry for your loss. It is not easy losing a parent (lost my Dad to Cancer 9 years ago). Looking forward to getting to know you on the boards.

After her passing, one of the evenings of driving back home, I looked to the sky.  I saw this beautiful Swan.

Wow!  Thanks for sharing this story Kathie.  I sure do relate.  When my Dad passed away in December '08, I too experienced a sign in the clouds that amazed me and comforted me.  Just as I was starting to cry, a little overcome with missing him, I saw an eye in the clouds that seemed to be looking down on me.....basically a circle of clouds with the cloud in the middle for an eyeball.  When Dad stayed with us before he died, he had cataract surgery and was amazed when he could see the kitchen clock from his bedroom and tell what time it was.  So for me to notice an eye in the clouds at that particular time, I felt assured that Dad was ok and was spending Christmas in the best place ever.

What a beautiful story Kathie...my mom loved flowers and she had azaela bushes in the front of  the house as you went to the front door...well it was winter when we were getting things in order and came out of the house and looked down and here were  Several Flowers in bloom...Just for me to see and know that she will always be with me in spirit ! and there are other signs  that I see that connect to us..just out of the blue ! God Bless

All good stories.  God loves us so much that He strengthens us in different ways.  I have had similar experiences.  Praises to God who created us, clouds, and flowers, and yes, He is in control.    JF
