30 Year Class Reunion
OMG...where has the time gone? I just got notice that my reunion will be on July 30, 2011. I have less than 6 months to make a real difference and drop this weight once and for all!
I started taking Zumba classes and I can't wait till I can start doing outside activities. I don't like to freeze off body parts while I exercise. Wish me luck?? Lisa

Lisa what is Zumba? It sound very ambitious!
Between the excercises and following this WOE, I'll bet you will get that weight off once and for all by July.
All the best!

Re: 30 Year Class Reunion
Lisa,
I hope you are setting reasonable expectations. Reasonabley a 20-25lb weight loss is usual in this time period so be happy to attain that. If you are really aggressive, do some major planning ahead to avoid being in situations where you have to eat stuff you know are off planb, you could possible l;oose 40-50lbs and that would be great! If you were like me and "hid out" and no one saw you when you maxed out your weight, then you could be disappointed. Just don't want you to get discouraged and give up if you hit a stall or not loose all you wanted in time. Remember this is a Way of Eating for life and if you don't get to where you want to be this year, you can really WOW them at the 35 and 40 yr reunion.
Praying for every opportunity between now and then to always have LDL food available, and that you are able to wear the most attactive clothes you have always dreamed of.

Good luck Lisa......Hoping you loose it all, but if you don't you will loose some. As Linda said some don't loose fast. It took me a year to loose 32lbs. But then there are those that loose a 100 lbs. You will just have to see what your body does. Shoot for the moon!

Re: 30 Year Class Reunion
Lisa, my 55th class reunion is in May. I am looking forward to it so much. It's the first time since graduation that I have a figure similar to HS. The difference is that I'm carrying more wisdom within my head. You will be fine, and as Linda said, You will have the next one to look forward to. You're a young one!!! I'm so thankful for LDL. I feel twenty year younger, and my health is good so my stats say.

Re: 30 Year Class Reunion
Thanks guys...I appreciate all the good wishes. Cameron, Zumba seems to be all the rage. It's a very fast paced Latin type dancing/exercise class that our school fitness center has twice a week. I just joined the center which has very nice treadmills, elipticals and bikes...plus a weight room. Zumba is tues/thurs nights and I go with my sister. It's 45 min of hard (but fun) cardio/fat burning..then 15 minutes of abdominal work if we want to do it. I also bought a Zumba thing for my Wii but I don't like it that much. Hard to follow.
I have never succeeded at any major weight loss before so I really haven't set my expectations that high...I guess any loss will be A-OK with me. But Wither, you are right...I should shoot for the moon.
I'm still trying to drop those last few pounds I gained over november/december when I went off plan. I think once that happens I will really be motivated to keep on. Will keep you all posted :)
Joyful friend...you are absolutely beautiful and you must be so proud. I hope I can do as well someday.

Re: 30 Year Class Reunion
You will do absolutely as well as JF if you just stay with it, no matter how long it takes....it WILL happen.
Whiter is right, shoot for the moon but be happy no matter where you are come July.
For sure you will be healthier with a glow that everyone will notice.

Re: 30 Year Class Reunion
Lisa- I attended my 45th reunion last fall. Although I still weighed more than I did in high school, I was so happy to not weigh what I did 16 months previous. I had lost 55# at that point on LDL, which was actually 63# less than I had weighed at my highest ever recorded weight. I was not the largest woman there, thank God, and I felt pretty and happy. You will, too. Every pound lost brings us closer to our health and personal goals. Pam

We all need to remember that it is the true beauty from within that glows and allows us to be happy because Jesus created us. As Mama always said, "Pretty is as pretty does." Lisa, you have a radiant attitude and smile, so you're already a winner. As Wither said, "Reach for the moon," but be happy you are you even if you just get to the mountain top.

Re: 30 Year Class Reunion
Lisa,
I agree with Wither. Just do your best but in the long run - you are a beautiful person inside and out and that is what counts. My 30 year reunion was 2 years ago and I wouldn't go - although it was 5 minutes from my house - because I was so ashamed of the weight I have gained through the years. I regret it now, because I have realized that my weight is not what defines me as a person! Just do the best you can to lose what you can but don't not go because you didn't reach that goal as long as you have the desire to attend! My daughter actually bought Zumba and I tried it but it is just too crazy fast for me!! I will pray that you reach your goal!
