New Misto Oil Sprayer
I went into a local kitchen shop and was browsing and noticed a Misto on the shelf. I had been thinking about buying one after seeing some postings on the boards about them. They had the aluminum ones, but they also had new ones that said "Now...in Stainless Steel" and I bought that kind. Can't wait to try it. Jerrie

Oh, no.....
I never even thought to look at what the container was made of.
Wouldn't you know, I was not paying attention and bought the aluminum one!
Guess it will go to the aluminum sale and I will invest in a stainless steel one later.

Linda - on mine the inside is plastic and the outside is stainless steel. If your misto is plastic on the inside it might be fine. Jerrie

Linda - with that being the case, I think I would replace it with stainless steel, if I were you, in light of what they say about aluminum (which you are aware of). Jerrie

Re: New Misto Oil Sprayer
The stainless steel one was twice the price. That should have been the tip-off right there.
I knew that when I was shopping for pressure cookers.
Just flat overlooked it this time.
Since most of the aluminum leeches when heating, guess I will use it for a little while until I can get anothe one....
Like next ime I need a box of corn thins!

Re: New Misto Oil Sprayer
Good idea Linda. I didn't even look to see the price of the aluminum one at the store. I just kinda seen the Misto on the shelf and seen that it was $22.95, which I knew was more than the old Pampered Chef one that I used to have, but I seemed to remember that the PC one used to get clogged quite often. Hopefully this one doesnt. When I noticed that it said stainless steel, and that there was another one that was aluminum, I didn't even think to look to see if the aluminum one was a different price. I just assumed they were the same price. It does make sense that the stainless probably was higher though. Jerrie

Re: New Misto Oil Sprayer
The aluminum one was 9.99 and the stainless steel was 19.99.
Guess I just thought they were from a different source. Shoulda known to check what it was made of, but just flat overlooked it.
Thanks for letting me know
