Sugar Free candy

Post by Halliesmama »

I'm new to this diet and it's pretty easy. I've been eating so many frozen grapes I think I'm going to turn purple! I was wondering about sugar free candy. I noticed Wal-Mart carries quite a few Russell Stover versions of sugar free peppermint patties, M&M's and other varieties. Are they safe to eat a few at a time or is it better just to avoid them altogether?

The main ingredient is Malitol. But I've discovered another reason to stay away from this kind of candy- it gives you a gassy stomach-ache. I think I'll just stick to the grapes!
