Down here in West Texas (below the panhandle) we don't get much snow. So I don't have snow boots or Uggs.
I wear the previously mentioned reptile shoes year-round. I just add socks when it's cold out.

(How'd I do Brother Tom; is that ok?)

hey guys.....for once my being a procrastinator paid off...i thought crocs were one thing that you never got for less...i got them for $22 at costco(so check out your costcos)........they're my first pair...i mainly got them because you guys were talking about them..and because i have a wide foot and they fit me.....i couldn't tell HOW comfortable they were until i got home and really walked around in them....ohmygosh...they're great..they are the most comfortable thing i have ever put on my feet....if i had KNOWN this, i would have gotten a couple of pairs if NOT more.............i'm working the next three days....so, i'll go next week and see if they get more....usually, costco puts that little asterick on the sign if it's something they won't get again...it wasn't on the sign, so maybe they'll get more and they'll get  colors that i like..........................boy, if i hadn't read about them on these boards, i would NEVER have even tried them on....thanks guys..............niki

regardless of what i told tom about clogs no longer existing, i lived in clogs in the late 60s and early 70s...they were perfect with my raggedy dungarees..because i have a wide foot, it was ALWAYS hard to find shoes that were cool and not something my mother would wear....THAT was another reason i loved clogs...for the same reason, i can't wear ruffles and cute stuff like that....my style is tailored suits like they used to wear in the 40s(LOVE EVERYTHING about the 40s..the clothes..the music...the hope they had)..i have broad shoulders and NEVER needed shoulder pads.....SO.....they ABSOLUTELY are MY fashion statement....i'm SO glad that i DON'T have a lot of shoes....this way i won't feel guilty getting crocs(TEETHLESS crocs, tom)in all different colors..

Now I'm really anxious to get some. No Costco around here and the checkbook says no shopping beyond necessities right now anyway, but I'll have to get a pair before I have to do a lot of walking again. Before our trip, I spent a fortune on insoles and running shoes that left me with a lot of hurt, pain and agony. I should have known to express my concern on LDL before I left!!!! You people are the best.

Well, Niki - I might just have to renew my costco membership - - - or maybe BJ's will start to carry them.  I'll have to tell you - I will occasionally google in "crocs sale" or "crocs clearance"... I found that Bass Pro (of all places) had the collegiate crocs for 17.99 - I bought 3 pair... they are usually two colors and have the team logo on the back of the strap.  I figure that I'm so short and my pants are always "just verging" on too long, that nobody will be able to see the straps anyways!

I got a black pair, a blue pair and a red pair... I don't remember the teams, but since I don't watch sports, it wouldn't matter in any case.

Whoaaaaa - I just went to the page and it seems they only have a few of them on sale still....

i keep trying to get on their website and my computer won't let me...that's ok, because i'm sure you pay delivery so it's not much different from the price at costco..although, i'm still going to check their website to figure out how much they are with shipping and see what sizes they have......now, with your pink pair, you'll have 4 pairs.....alrighty now.................
i want a navy blue pair and an olive drab pair.....you know, maybe i'll get a red pair too, if i can find them for $22 at costco.....but, i'm trying to think of what i would wear them with...i have 2 red tops.....would i only be able to wear them with those?..one is not real red..it's like candy apple red which would clash with regular red, so that makes just one...never mind....maybe tan or maybe gray...........bear in mind, even in virginia, you have warmer weather and maybe wear lighter colors for longer than i do...

Hi!

i wear a 9 1/2....so which size would i take -- they only have Med which is 8 - 9  and then they have large which is 10 - 11.  10 is definitely going to be too big and 9 may be a bit tight....Do these crocs run large or small generally?

Thanks....
i was on the webage all ready to get a pair or two, but couldn't figure out the sizing.

God bless

Find a store near you that sells Crocs and try them on.
I would assume that you'd wear the 8-9s.

Hi Margo,
Try zappos maybe they have different sizes. My crocks are 10's no multiple sizes. I did not buy mine at zappos but Kris did. In fact I did not buy any of mine. No I did not steal them either! lol  my daughter cheryl has bought them all for me.

My crocs arrived today!  Yes, now I have 4 pair!  Yesterday I heard that crocs now has a program where they are recycling old crocs.  They encourage people to bring them (or send them) to a crocs recycling center, then they wash them, grind them up, add new crocs material and make new shoes.  They are distributing them FOR FREE to countries where most people don't have ANY shoes.  If you go to this web site, http://www.solesunited.com/get_involved.html you can read all about it - and they even have an extremely interesting video.

I think this is a very worthy cause, but I can't help but wonder why they don't distribute them to poverty stricken people right here in the USA... maybe I'll write them an email.

Margo - sizing was my problem too - that's why I got my first pair locally (I got mine at D*ick's Sporting Goods).

margo...go to modells...they sell them and you can try them on.....you know how sizes vary?....i would say the most common size i wear is an 8 1/2...i wear an 8-9 in crocs.....so if you wear a 9 1/2, i'm going to say that 8-9 will be too small for you......BUT, crocs also come in full sizes...you can get a 9 or a 10...
when i first tried them on i couldn't figure out what size i was....i was using the strap....everyone's different, but when i use the strap, i feel like my foot's being pushed down and they're not comfortable...without the strap?...perfect...and what also helped me is going on their website where they tell you how to get the right fit........you bring your foot back to the arch support...your toes shouldn't touch the inside of the front..................

Ya'll please pray for me this week.
I've been having a tough few days.
Mother died 5 June 2006. And my Uncle Billy (my father's oldest brother) was buried on 5 June 2007.
I just keep dwelling on the date.  :'(

I may be 47 years old but there is a preschooler in my head.

Feel like I was at the store with Mom and got separated. I just keep repeating, "I want my MOM!" It's scary because she is not here right now.
And even though I can't see it right now, I know she is safe and I am safe.
Even through my crying out, I have been, at the same time crying out to my Abba (Daddy). I know I am in his arms.
Doesn't stop me from wanting my Mommy though.

Thanks for sitting with me through this. I just gotta wait a few more moments or maybe a few more days. This, too, shall pass.

ENGAE'

A little late reading but girl you never get over wanting our mothers. They are the most imporant person to ever touch your life they love you uncondtional no matter what you do or have done!!!

Ther's no love like the love from mother to child.
I feel your pain also lost my bested friend June 5 on my anny also in June of 2002.Then my husband was digonased with Lumkemia of Nov so not time to grieve over losing my mother. And he passedc away on OCT 2004 so I'am right there with you girl friend.

I think God for allowing me the stength to take care of my mom and beloved husband when they where sick>>>>>>> This is a girl that faints at site of blood and shots :o :o

We are all only here for a short while, so we do have confort of knowing and seeing our loved ones again!!!

But in the mean time we sure do miss them and need them so much. They say time heals all, BUt girl still waiting here for that healing.
So its ok to feel this way and as you said this to shall pass the feeling of missing them that is,but never will they be out of our thoughts
