Well, rather than just posting when I "need" something, I thought I'd post and say, "Thank You" to all of you. With all the stuff that has happened in the last few months, things seem to be getting better on all fronts.
My Amanda started her new job yesterday. It looks like it's going to be a good job, and they're paying her well. The biggest plus is that she is within walking distance of my office! Yea!!! She's had lunch with me these last two days, and announced today that she likes having lunch with me! Of course, I'm sure it doesn't hurt that I'm the one BRINGING lunch for the both of us!! LOL! After the first day, she closed up her container of Israeli Chickpea Soup and asked, "So..... What's for lunch tomorrow?"

Her car, unfortunately, was declared a total loss. There was almost $15,000 worth of damage - 72% of the total value of the car. She's contacted the salesman that sold her the last one & has test driven a couple of different cars, but so far hasn't found one she likes. She floored me today when she announced that she "might buy Aunt Linda's car"..... huh?? My sister has a car that is 4 years old and only has 30K miles on it. She's been talking about buying a new car for almost as long as I was, so it's not like she just came up with this. And actually, this would be a very wise move for Amanda - I hope that she ends up doing this.
My father, although not fully recovered yet, is much MUCH better. I've not actually seen him all week, but I have talked with him. If things go as they normally do, I imagine we'll have a cookout for the 4th, so that'll be very nice.
Anyway, I don't want to ramble. (tooooo late!! LOL!) I really did just want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers - from the bottom of my heart.
Carolyn
